Good service and friendly, helpful staff. One of the ticket gate controllers made my 7 year old grandson's day by allowing him to use his official fob to open the gate (my grandson is a huge train fan and can talk extensively on all aspects of trains). It was a ert and chilly evening, but the sunset was stunning over Station Hill.

It's open again! I didn't get a chance to go before it closed last time, but I'm glad to see it's reopened. Thu, Fri and Sat afternoons and nights.

Upgraded Old school working club, brilliantly welcoming, with smaller range of beers on offer than your average pub.

We went to a friend's Wedding Reception here. This place is perfect for a party. The food was excellent and staff were lovely. It has a great seating area with tables and room for a DJ,dance floor or band. It also has a small outside area at the back. I would highly recommend it.

You must hunt down the Railway Club. One of Reading's better secrets. Come here for the full sports package. Sky Yes. Bt Sport ? No problem Sir. Central, but off central in that dusty vacant no mans Land to the side of the Station and popular with all football and rugby supporters on match days. Artisan toilets to go with Newcastle Brown Ale and interesting looking canned Guiness. Spacious fllorboards, bar snacks on the bar with friendly local staff. No membership required either. What are you waiting for. A club/bar well worth supporting
