I collected a new bike from the Halfords in Reading (Oxford Road). I didn't turn up when I'd booked, as I was much later, but the team were most efficient when it came to the entertaining exercise of trying to get a fairly large bike into an extremely small car. They couldn't have been more helpful. Excellent service, would recommend.
Click and collect was great and easy. Problem that no staff were on the shop floor and when I did get hold of one they just said that didn’t have a clue and rushed. Only one staff on tills and had to wait for ages as he was dealing with a customer complaint that took a while. Not his fault but more staff with knowledge are needed
I received fantastic support and guidance from Hayder and the team shopping for a roof box with my wife and baby. We were only browsing but left with fully fitted Thule footpack, rails and roof box on order (fitting by Hayder, Kammy and Simon), we also had our windscreen wipers changed while we joined the motoring club for 5% discount and free fitting. Would highly recommend! The service was very informative, friendly and we felt reassured by the guidance we received.
First class service. It was only headlight bulbs but I wouldn't have had any idea how to change them. Only one had blown but thought it better to change both. The young man did it so quick and was very polite. I didn't have long to wait but there was a queue.
Researched the best Start/Stop battery. Found in Halfords, checked the quantity in Halfords Oxford Road. Arrived at 6pm on a rainy evening to be told my battery of choice is swapped for a Halfords own brand. Price difference slightly cheaper build quality absolutely unknown. Order is ready to collect email received 30 minutes after ordering. The "change to your order" email arrived after I was put on the spot to accept a battery I didn't choose. NOT happy. PS. The young humans on the till were brilliant but unable to help on the day.
I called in for some oil for my car, windscreen wash, and new windscreen wipers and I was really helped to find what I needed by the very polite, kind and understanding man at the cash desk who went and actually got it for me too. He could not have been more helpful than he was and reassured me that I had the right things at the best price!!! I hope he is there next time I need anything to do with my car as I am not very car competent. He was absolutely brilliant!! I am only sorry I did not get his name so I could tell you who it was and give him the credit he deserves!!
Replaced the battery on my Mercedes 220D. Hit some unexpected access issues which were resolved without fuss. Worked on the vehicle for nearly an hour but with the labour charge less than £30 thought it was excellent value. Two store staff involved - both seemed very competent and polite. Now everything seems to be working well, including the auto stop/start which had not been working before. Very satisfied!
I needed some windscreen wiper blades and advice around a headlight bulb which I thought was faulty. Dave helped me in the shop not only find the correct product but then fit them. Dave was very courteous, polite, professional and a credit to Halfords. I would definitely recommend speaking to Dave next time.
I had problems with car stereo so booked an appointment to look at problem. Tony (Halfords technician) was prompt, polite and had the problem solved very quickly. He made the whole experience a total pleasure, keeping me informed as he worked and would highly recommend this service.
