“I had my grandson staying with us for the weekend and wanted to get him a bike. I tried Halfords in Newbury but it was too much trouble for them to assemble it. We went to Decathlon in Reading and a guy called Mo looked after us and he couldn't have been more helpful. He made sure my Grandson had the right bike and fitted it with all the accessories for us within about 20 minutes. It was a great experience - highly recommended.”
“First class service. It was only headlight bulbs but I wouldn't have had any idea how to change them. Only one had blown but thought it better to change both. The young man did it so quick and was very polite. I didn't have long to wait but there was a queue.”
“MTB in the workshop for a brake service. Work carried out on time and at good competitive price, brakes working again like new. Tip top all round.”
“I had an excellent experience getting my bike serviced at Decathlon, thanks to Alex. We had to order a few parts in for my bike which took a few extra days. Alex was friendly, approachable, and highly knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the issues with my bike, explained everything clearly, and gave honest advice about what needed to be done. The service was carried out efficiently and to a really high standard, my bike now rides smoother. I’d highly recommend Decathlon for anyone needing bike repairs or servicing.”
“Fabulous customer experience. Jack kept me in touch with the progress of my order, arranged delivery for a suitable date. It arrived in good order and on time. I couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you”
“Stopped in Athlete Service in the middle of a long ride after a friend’s cleat broke. Rob was incredibly friendly and helpful, and broke one of his few remaining packs of pedals to replace said cleat. Great selection of brands and products in store; if I lived in Henley I would be delighted to have this as my local bike shop!”
“Super bike shop, excellent customer service! Paul was great from my first phone call enquiry through to finalising the sale and making sure that the surprise Christmas present bike was looked after and with me at the perfect time. Thanks to Brad for waiting right up to closing time on Christmas Eve. Much appreciated. My son loves the Whyte bike! And got the huge surprise I was hoping for! Not only have I already recommended Mountain Trax to friends and family I will definitely be taking our bikes to Paul for long term maintenance and will be checking back in for future bike purchases. Thank you Paul & Brad, great shop and service. Kelley”
“Superb advice and practical guidance from Toby in choosing a kids Frog bike. We called a few places and he was the only one that took the time to speak to us before we made the trip to the shop. He ensured the bike was the right type and size explaining all the factors that go into setting your child up for success, the team also did a full check of the bike before we left. An incredible shop with highly knowledgeable and attentive staff and every bike imaginable, some of them frankly are works of art. If you’re going to invest in a good bike for your kids or yourself I’d thoroughly recommend Pankhurst Cycles.”
“I visited the Halfords store in Didcot recently to purchase motor oil. The customer service was excellent, knowledgeable and very helpful and it was all delivered in a friendly manner with a smile on the staff members face. I would certainly recommend a visit if you need anything from the wide range of products that they offer”
“I asked Berkshire Cycles to carry out a major service on my Fuji road bike a few months ago including replacing chainsaw, derailleur and gear cables. U was pleased with the service and the result but a few days ago the gear cables became detached. I took it into to Berkshire cycles and they repaired it on the spot at no charge. This is excellent service from cycle enyusiasts that deserve a big thank you Keep up the good work guys!!”
“Simon the Bike Manager, was absolutely fantastic, kind and enthusiastic. He helped our son choose the bike he wanted. He suggested lots of accessories and then fitted them for all us. He made sure we had the right bike lock and well fitting helmet and safety front and back lights along with a mud guard and a water bottle holder. He also made suggestions for future accessories of changing the pedals and grips to nice colours. He was non stop working being asked questions by colleagues and other customers but we did not feel rushed or pressured and he was just a lovely friend hard working guy. Our son was absolutely delighted with his new Carrera bike and the outstanding service we got from Simon will not be forgotten. 10* treatment. Thank you so much.”
“I had a really good experience. Winter car check lovely helpful lad doing it. Picked up a click and collect and the girl bought it to my car without me asking. I'm sorry I didn't get names. All staff were very helpful in all.”
“Very happy with the Basingstoke Halford team. The bike I brought in was assessed straight away, quoted what needed to be done and I picked it up about 90min later. Works perfectly fine. I will be back to buy a new bike for my mum later on this year. Thanks a lot”
“Halfords replaced my headlight bulbs at the start of the year and I was gutted when they went again. I popped back into Halfords Bracknell on my way home to get them fixed. They told me that there was a 1 year warranty and I was entitled to a free replacement. They said the extra bright bulbs I had fitted originally may be the issue for the short life span, and offered long life bulbs as a replacement fitted for free. The guys I spoke to were friendly, helpful and highly competent. Within minutes I was on the road with lights working and singing their phrases. Don't worry about spending a fortune at main dealers, get yourself down to Halfords, Bracknell.”
“I never knew anything about electric bikes. So I visited the Maidenhead store to ask. Spoke to 3 friendly, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable young men last Saturday. Went back on Sunday lunchtime and purchased a Raleigh Felix. The same model as one of the salesperson I spoke with had purchased himself. All 3 were a pleasure to deal with.”
“The bike team at Halfords Winnersh were excellent.. helping me get the right bike for my son to suit his needs. Sobaan was great and whilst new to the job, was keen to make sure everything was right. Thank you”
“Needed a battery change for my Z4. Had the pleasure of dealing with the manager and Simon. They were both super helpful and friendly. It’s always nice dealing with pleasant individuals.”
“I was looking for a bike for my grandson and the guy in Evans in Reading was just so helpful. He didn't have a suitable bike but made many helpful suggestions. Makes a nice change. Would highly recommend.”
“Good for when I get my birthday money Hope they get another santer desplay this year”
“One stop shooting for all sporting requirements. Has footballs, boots, walking shoes, for babies, toddlers up to adults. Has safety boots and a lot more stuff. Sometimes easier to find it online on their website. Find their stores are so packed with stuff that's its hard to find what you're looking for.”
“An excellent toys and game stores for all the children and of course for the adults too. The ambience is great with well lit and neatly displayed good on ver well organised shelves. The staffs are helpful and knowledgeable.”
“Always a great range of products, with certainly more choice that meets my personal requirements, than JD Sports for example. Excellent value, excellent quality and a great range. I shop between the Aldershot, Farnborough and Basingstoke stores primarily, and they've always delivered!!”
“Store is much neat and tidier compared to my past visits to this store and the staff are also much friendlier and helpful than in the past. They approach you almost as soon as you walk in to certain section of the store, especially the footwear; where staff asked if I need help before I had to chase someone, which is what I had to do in the past. The store is much smaller than the Bracknell one, but has wide variety of shoes, clothing and other accessories. I'd highly recommend this store for sports wear and also for casual clothing as well.”
“Very organised and tidy. Feels like a premium shopping experience”

“Lots of good stock to choose from. The clothing is good quality and has lots to choose from. Friendly & helpful staff.”
“Massive toy store. Staff are friendly (no idea how they remain so chipper!). Queues can be a little long but they're very fast and they treat children with respect and talking TO them rather than AT them. Click and collect locations. Clean, orderly and a nice store. Toilet available at the back right of the store and has a changing facilities for babies. Relatively good prices too.”
