Ljubica was absolutely amazing helping me today. The store team were good and very helpful. I also don’t normally say this either, but the whole store was so clean!
Went to Decathlon Reading,Picked up a gift from santa and ended up getting an amazing pair of ski boots,The store has incredible range of ski wear and equipments.
I had my grandson staying with us for the weekend and wanted to get him a bike. I tried Halfords in Newbury but it was too much trouble for them to assemble it. We went to Decathlon in Reading and a guy called Mo looked after us and he couldn't have been more helpful. He made sure my Grandson had the right bike and fitted it with all the accessories for us within about 20 minutes. It was a great experience - highly recommended.
Sports products for everyone, large stock, well organised, some bargain buckets, the checkouts are impressive with automated barcode detection, once you add the goods into the checkout area. There aren’t enough members of staff, and the ones that are serving such as the click and collect area really needs some customer service training. Rude and totally ignorant of his role. The store is nice and has a lot of produce.
I’ve been to this store many times and always been impressed with the range, quality and value for money but I had to leave a review after receiving awesome customer service recently. I had bought an own brand item at a Decathlon in Spain which has failed on first use but I was unable to return it to the store in Spain so I took it in to the Reading store after I returned home with proof of purchase on my banking app. It took a little bit of working out but they were able to refund me the amount that I had paid despite the different currency used and the different prices charged between UK and Spain stores. Very impressed!
Recently visited Reading Decathlon and found the staff to be very helpful. The products also hold up much better than a lot of cheap junk you can order online. Nathan the technician was particularly helpful looking over my bike and making sure it was in perfect order before I left the shop with it.
Absolutely fantastic service. I took my boys bike in for an inspection as it had a broken mech and chain. Nathan was amazing and told me exactly what it needed then recommended the parts before fitting it all. My boy will be thrilled he can use his bike again. Thanks so much Nathan.
Never really considered Decathlon for bike shopping until a French friend of mine recommended them. I'm glad she did. I was finally able to find a suitable electric assisted bike (to help get back into riding without the strain), within a reasonable budget. Stock was an issue but they managed to source me two of different sizes and specs as I was borderline the size requirement. When I got to see them both, the answer was clear for me (and beautiful!). I love my new bike, it feels strong and sturdy and makes hills totally trivial if I want them to be. The staff are very helpful and polite and their products do seem a cut above the rest while costing less. Special thanks to Josh who organised the bikes and Artur who built it and helped adjust it and add things. Also I took it back a few days and he was more than helpful and friendly to readjust a few bits. Awesome guys! Strong recommendation and I will continue to shop at Decathlon in the future.
