Shocking customer experience- We’ve come in after purchasing a PS4 game yesterday to get an exchange but also purchase the PS5 console (which is £470!) We bought the ps4 version of FC26 for our son’s birthday. For whatever reason it didn’t work but the fault was with our own PlayStation 4 console not with the stores game. The console is old and has been glitching for a while. So we made the decision to go back and just upgrade the console and buy the PS5. We approached the girl on the desk to explain we would like to exchange the game for the PS5 version and also buy the PS5 console She immediately got defensive, didn’t listen to what I was trying to say. Cut me off mid sentence and just told me “right well I’ll have to check with my manager as we don’t refunds on open games” Well we bought it yesterday so you could refund it, it’s brand new. But that’s not why we are here. We want to exchange the PS4 version we bought for the PS5 version and also purchase the PS5 console whilst we are here. Effectively upgrading our order by nearly £500 You would think the shop would be pleased and happy about this and talk with us with a bit of respect and curiosity. Instead we got a frosty shop assistant who didn’t listen to me, was clearly stand off with me and plamed me off to her manager who had the same attitude All we wanted to do was simply swap a like for like item and ontop of that pay £470 for a new games console Instead I was met with a cashier who had terrible customer service and communication skills After an awkward exchange she later explained that we could just keep the PS4 version of the game as it would work on the new console anyway (she could have said that at the start, as I am not a games expert and didn’t know this) All in all shocking customer support and communication, no thank you for coming back and spending close to 500 pounds more at all Was made to feel like a pain in the neck customer from the get go I’ve never been to a store where repeat custom makes you feel awkward and uncomfortable
The stroppy teenager who was at the till today around 1ish seriously needs to take a course in basic customer service. His attitude was absolutely disgusting! I returned my son's Xbox as it kept on overheating and was getting extremely hot within minutes and the staff member was practically saying it was our fault for not getting the series x . He then huffs and puffs into the back to have it replaced and after replacing it he told me that I'm stupid for not buying the x version. I'll tell you, if I wasn't with my son and that staff member was a little older I would have gave him a right smack In the mouth for talking to me like that.
Visited recently to pick a gift for a niece. I was looking at possible options. 2 girls in smyths uniform approached behind me and were obviously guarding my actions. One even rudely stood directly beside me (not even an inch away) and pretended to be fixing something on the shelves. This put me off deciding between the two options that I have and I moved on to other parts of the store. I suggest a better training for these employees as are they are already bullying customers.
Massive toy store. Staff are friendly (no idea how they remain so chipper!). Queues can be a little long but they're very fast and they treat children with respect and talking TO them rather than AT them. Click and collect locations. Clean, orderly and a nice store. Toilet available at the back right of the store and has a changing facilities for babies. Relatively good prices too.

Staff are incompetent only had a card for payment and I needed a coin for a trolley and they made it so difficult for me and seem totally unprofessional and uninterested in their customers experience totally useless
Huge toy store well stocked with a massive range of toys to suit all ages. Would be surprised if you did not find a toy to purchase as simply everything seems to be in here! Was really impressed by this place and a large car park immediately in front of the store. Highly recommended for toy shopping!
My kids love this store , its so nice to have one close to home ! The store is huge and if you cannot find a toy here I don't know what to suggest as the range is simply huge ….There is a good mix of price points and we bought a whole set of trucks for my son …. he is thrilled to bits with them and they were amazing value . good parking availability to
