We came for the Christmas Market and food and was a fantastic event. We have also been to the Extrovert Invert event and was incredible! Thank you to Jade and the team for putting on such great events through the year-without fail we always have the best time coming here! Highly recommend!

I was at the pub today between lunchtime with my two youngest daughters who are 6 and 12. When we came in the place looked very nice, but our waiter was extremely rude to us. Not to give this place a bad review but I never got the name of the girl serving us she called my daughter spoilt when she was having a melt down, I think she meant it as a joke so I awkwardly laughed it off. Whoever this was being a little rude, please think about what you say as my daughter got a little upset about what you said and it made it worse. The food on the other hand was okay, but did not look like what they sounded like or from what I ordered, and the waiter who called my daughter spoilt gave the food a little bit cold. Overall a pretty nice pub, but I will not be coming again, Do not recommend this place to parents with young children.

Really good meal, perfect for lunch, and for dinner with an extra side of chips it fills me up even when famished. Child friendly, though the staff are unable to address the behaviour of some of the kids sadly, the family atmosphere does make it very welcoming. Tucked away, it makes for a really nice community hub, ideal during walks, plenty of parking if driving. Staff are always friendly, attentive and up for a chat. Beautiful (and importantly heated) terrace, with grass replaces recently with turf. outdoor sheltered smoking area for those that need it. TV's with the booths, smoking and terrace for sport. Fun events nights like pub quiz or a friendly poker night, tragically no games night but I fear those that would enjoy it are also like myself too shy to set one up!

We visit the pub frequently for both food and just drinks and always enjoy our visits. All of the staff are extremely friendly and efficient. The pub has a lovely ambience and if you have young children the outside play area is excellent. Food is of good quality and there is lots of choice. Highly recommend visiting.

We arrived for our friends' leaving meal and were handed the regular menu and specials menu. When we tried to order wine, the first bottle we requested wasn’t available. The same happened with the second bottle, and we were then shown a tablet with the available wine options. Unfortunately, the price for the wine wasn’t displayed on the tablet. When it came time to order food, three out of the four of us couldn’t have what we originally wanted because we were never informed that many menu items were unavailable due to low stock. The only option for my vegan friend was limited, and the vegetarian choices were extremely restrictive. We were disappointed that we weren’t told about these shortages when we arrived or during our booking. Had we known in advance that so many items were unavailable, we would have chosen another restaurant. The food that did arrive was subpar. My friends battered haddock was mostly batter, and the supervisor agreed with our assessment. My friend requested a bowl of chips as compensation for her incomplete meal, but we were told we’d be charged for them. Unfortunately, she ended up leaving because the meal was ruined, and she didn’t have anything to eat. When it came time to pay, the bill came to £97, which felt extremely high considering one meal was removed from the bill, and two people only had sides. To make matters worse, the bottle of wine we ordered cost £46, which we later realised was being sold for £27.95 at the pub we went to afterward. We asked to speak to the manager, but it turned out the person we spoke to wasn’t actually the manager—she was just filling in. The two managers were apparently not in, and we weren’t able to resolve the issue. After discussing with a staff member who spoke with the manager on the phone, we were threatened with police involvement if we didn’t pay the full amount, which we felt was a bit drastic! Considering we initially asked for £16 to be taken off the bill due to the poor service we received and the issues we faced. It’s beyond disappointing that the two managers weren’t on site, especially on a busy Friday night when they knew there were such high levels of stock shortages and a new menu. We couldn’t even explain our experience to someone with authority. The refusal to bring my friend a simple bowl of chips so she could sit with us was unacceptable, and the overall customer service was disappointing as we should have been informed at the lack of availability before we had ordered the wine as well as the difference in price of the wine we ordered when the first two choices were not available. Extremely poor service for something that was easily resolvable.

A Lovely Sunday lunch with the family ! Booked a table for eight, the table was ready on arrival service excellent even though the pub was very busy. All food was first class most of us had the roast which was excellent, all came out hot and all together. One had the fish in batter with chips and again it was first class. The service by two young ladies was quick and efficient. Always someone to get more drinks when required A lovely Lunch was enjoyed by all Thank you

Visited with my grandmother on Friday evening. We didn't have a table booked and the gentleman sat us in the conservatory. Very polite and welcome and great service. The fish and chips was amazing and at a very reasonable price. Will definitely be back next time in in the area.

We stopped here on the way back from Poultons Park and had a great time. I rang ahead as there was a large party of us , 15 in total, and they managed to squeeze us all in on the top tier inside. Although they were very busy, the food arrived in good time, was good quality and tasty, and they bought out the children's meals first, which is always a sign of a restaurant that knows what it is doing. The staff were excellent, and they went out of their way to ensure we had plenty of kids drawing materials, which kept them all very busy. I would like to say thank you to everyone on duty that night, including the manager, as the whole team were fantastic. We will definitely be stopping here again in the future on our travels.

My family and I had a lovely time yesterday. We sat outside for drinks, the outside area was clean and well maintained. Lunch was served in the restaurant. We were looked after well by very pleasant staff. Our food was lovely and served hot. We all enjoyed it and will definitely go back.

As always excellent food, brilliant service... Because it was Easter Sunday they had a bouncy castle, and a face painter... Kids loved it. Dog came along and had a roast dinner too... She ate it soooo fast! Excellent family friendly pub.
