Sorry to come back with a bad review but they now use a Bosch estimating tool which is just rip off. They diagnosed a faulty ball joint quoted me £450 to replace one side lower arm on a 2010 Renault Clio. Lot of labour according to the tool. I would say an hours labour looking on you tube. Had both ball joints replaced elsewhere for £180 which would have been £900 using the Bosch estimate. =============================================== Old review Used them over several years with several cars for repairs from replacing air suspension compressors to brake pads. Always been very pleased with the right mixture of knowledge and reasonable rates.

Having an electrical fault on my Alfa Romeo which was misdiagnosed by two previous mechanics R.A Engineering did an amazing job in discovering the actual fault and repairing it in a very good time. This is a great operation, my family have used RA Engineering for many years and they always have a sensible and practical approach. Friendly, happy to take time to explain options, efficient and always ready to go out of their way if possible. Most importantly, they used to make my mother laugh which was a rare feat in itself! I strongly recommend this high quality business.
Brilliant garage and dead honest. If you are cautious about using garages, this is one you can trust. They won't ever play games with you or cheat you. I've used them since soon after they started in 1980 and not looked back. They are technically brilliant and well run. When they fix the car, you never need to go back to get it fixed again. And they keep my bills down by replacing parts only when needed, not like garages that don't care. I think that's probably the difference; they actually care about their customers. PS. Ignore the one-star reference; it's not genuine.
