Absolutely gorgeous food, we love the HB, it's our favourite pub, we've been visiting for years. New owners are lovely, they've put their own spin on the place and the menu but it still has all the charm of a proper old English pub. Perfect evening, incredible food and an exceptional welcome.

A cracking country pub serving top notch food, in a lovely tranquil setting. Table for 4 booked at 730pm, meant it was very dark on arrival - however the pub was beautiful lit up as was the massive Christmas tree. We were all pleased with the menu, so many appealing dishes to choose and the 2 specials of the day were Creamy mushroom risotto and wholegrain mustard & chicken pie. Dishes chosen were the venison burger, ham & eggs and the sirloin steak (perfectly cooked to medium rare) - all served with chunky chips. We all agreed that the chips were the best homemade chunky chips ever. Puddings were 3 portions treacle tart (with custard or ice cream) and Baileys cheesecake & ice cream. For those liking real ale, plenty of barrels behind the bar as well as a wide variety of ciders. Overall, a highly recommended country pub serving scrumptious food.

Went to the Bowman, first time we've been since they changed management early this year The beer was amazing (according to my beer loving husband). Cider was nice too. We had a roast which was delicious, I had beef which was perfect, a little pink and delicious. It was my husband's birthday & the staff kindly put the candle I brought, onto his meal & came out singing Happy birthday. They were all so very pleasant. I would thoroughly recommend this pub.

I enjoyed a fantastic Sunday roast and a burger. Both were delicious. They have a large garden with plenty of outdoor tables and about 12 different beers and ciders. I recommend it to everyone who enjoys local food and beer!

A truly picturesque spot, well off the beaten track. Easily the best selection of ales I’ve come across — 8 to 10 small casks on offer. Massive beer garden, reasonable prices, friendly service. The Hampshire Bowman is all you expect of a great country pub.

A nice welcoming pub and also welcoming to the 4 legged variety which is nice to see. Plenty of choice of drinks, especially cider. Plenty of seating and an eclectic array of things to look at on the walls etc. A pub with lots of character. There was only one gripe, people need to be pick up there dog pooh from the rear garden! Not a pretty site and especially if there are children. This is down to the owners of the dogs and not the pub.

Really good country pub. Good service by friendly staff and a great roast dinner with possibly the best Yorkshire pudding I've ever had! Also dog friendly garden and a veggie option on the roast A few weeks later and I've just had the fish and chips Best bit of battered fish I've had for a long time, delicious!
