Lovely quiet little cafe on an industrial estate, food was lovely and staff were friendly and patient as we couldn't decide what we wanted to eat. We will definitely visit again if we are in the area.

Visiting the area and visited this cafe twice in 2 days. Lovely cafe with limited parking as its on an estate but you should be able to park. Friendly staff and really good menu at reasonable prices. I had the double bacon cheese burger and chips the first day. Really nice with large fresh roll and lovely cooked chips, and the sauces are proper HP brown and tomato ketchup. The second day i had the Midi breakfast with toast. Really tasty and good portion sizes, so kept me going all day. My friend had the Midi breakfast also, but added chips. Just wished i lived in the area as this would be my go to cafe. Gets really busy but plenty of seating available and caters for all. Top notch cafe, lovely staff and tasty affordable food.
Have had a few great veggie breakfasts here. Popped recently in to get a couple of takeaway drinks - but unfortunately, they were undrinkable. A latte should be made with milk. Not powdered milk stirred into an instant coffee! Same with the mocha - a very watery based hot chocolate - no milk, with something 'coffee tasting' in it. Neither were worthy of the £2 each charged. I hope it was a mistaken one off, but not something I'm prepared to risk trying again, unfortunately.
Runway Cafe is a cafe used by workers on the industrial estate it’s based on. It’s good honest cafe food. I have used it a few times over the years always taking away as eating in would make me smell of fried food, and the food was good cafe food. Staff were a bit short with me each time and didn’t smile much. May use again. The oat cakes were nice.
Was recommended this place by Ashbourne Travelodge. What an absolute gem of a place! Proper home cooked full English breakfast, fantastic price and lovely staff. Will definitely be back.
Clean, friendly staff and cheap. Had a lovely breakfast roll which was served very quickly. There's also customer toilets available which is great. There are some parking spaces in front of the cafe though they may be limited when it's busy.
