   You can schedule through blackcircles.com what time to get your tyres changed. I called an hour before to know if they were running late and how much buy, to which I was told 10 minutes behind. When I arrived I was told it would take 20-30 minutes. In the end, I waited for over an hour. Other than this, everyone was friendly and it was easy - just slow. No one looked rushed off their feet around the garage.

   Have been to Formula 1 a few times in the last month or so, with two of our cars. I just wanted to say how brilliant Dean is, the guy who works on the counter. He’s very helpful, and efficient, and clearly explains what they can do to help, while always being polite and friendly. Great service - thank you.

   I was saddened to read some of the reviews which reflected an experience greatly different to my own. Firstly I had an urgent need for the air conditioning in my car to be regassed. It worked but took a long time before it started to cool but even then it wasn’t as cold as I would have liked. I booked online and got an appointment in less than 24 hours. The staff were polite and helpful and had a great sense of humour. It was completed in the specified time and I received a courtesy call to say my car was ready for collection. The following day I had to do a 200 mile drive and couldn’t believe what a difference it made. It came on virtually instantaneously and provided a far cooler car than I had previously experienced. As well as it being regassed I paid extra for a clean which did give off quite a strong smell but this was gone within a day. All in all a timely and uncomplicated service and I will certainly use them again.

   Rather than risk the car being damaged, I removed the wheel myself & dropped it off & collected it about an hour later. When collecting the wheel no dust cap was fitted & I had to ask for one at reception. Upon washing the lubricant off when I got home, I noted that the wheel had been damaged, presumably because nylon attachments were not used. The wheel was not previously damaged as I had cleaned off the brake dust before taking the wheel in. I have not complained as it is obvious they will say the wheel had been curbed, this would be despite the picture showing the wheel has been damaged from the back, not the side.

   We have had the worst experience with this garage! They changed our brakes and after 3 consecutive visits with suspected leaks. They finally have fixed the problem but not before brake fluid had leaked all over the drive way and over our wheel arch. They let me drive away with a brake leak which would fail a MOT with a small baby in the back! Not apology given. On top of that, each visit where we did not get charged (due to them correcting their errors) were made to feel like they are doing us a favour when it was an error they caused being corrected by them. We will NEVER use this garage again. Made to feel like idiots and terrible service. Looks like they have lots of apprentices in who clearly need more training and better quality control needed! Also passive aggressively has toped up brake fluid to absolute max level, almost over following. Car is also marked and scratched after ever visit. Still enquiring into that to get compensation but doubt it will come to anything!

   Booked online 6 days before. Turned up on the morning, only to find it all shut up. An employee was outside and said that the manager hadn't turned up and he didn't have any keys. Apparently the manager hadn't turned up the day before either. Was told to get in touch with head office to get a refund. Haven't heard back from them! Don't use them as they ask for payment in advance!

   Went in and ordered 2 tyres on Monday, got told they would ring on Wednesday so they could book me in on Thursday for fitment, called Wednesday afternoon to make sure we were still ok for Thursday, got told no tyres had been ordered. Guy on the phone said he would try and get some and call me back. No call back, phoned Thursday to see what the deal was, no tyres had been ordered again. Don’t waste your time going here. Funnily enough when we were there on Monday there was a lady in front of me who said she booked her car in for an MOT that day, got told her name wasn’t on the list so they couldn’t help. Sounds like this kind of thing happens a lot here.

   Had previously had such good experiences but has clearly gone downhill of late. Turned up for a booked appointment only to be told that the tyre fitter wasn't in so had to come back another day (thanks for not calling and wasting my petrol). When we did bring the car in at 9:30am, was told fitting would be an hour but didn't get car back until nearly 3pm. Was also billed for wheel alignment despite only asking for the free check. Will look elsewhere in future.

   Ordered a new battery Friday,to be fitted Monday. We phoned to say couldn't make it until Tuesday and left my phone number if any problems. Arrived at A1 to be told no battery there,waiting for it to be delivered. Waited and waited . After nearly an hour,still no battery. Told them going back home. They said they would ring when battery in. No phone call that day or next day. Had battery fitted elsewhere with no problems. A1 completely wasted my time and will never go there again.
