Classic old pub with a reasonable choice of decent beers at cheap prices. Super clean and spacious. Run by lovely people.
Absolutely loved our visit here today, amazing food cooked all fresh and served by the chef and a really warm welcome from the owners, excellent service and really friendly clientele. Great cask ales too. Highly recommend ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
Popped in for a bite to eat and was not disappointed, had the lamb burger which was delicious. The owners were lovely and very chatty and we will most definitely return.
Came here for lunch after walking near Staunton Harold reservoir. Lovely calm pub atmosphere, nice for young families, good selection of drinks on draught and a good burger menu. We had the British lamb burger and Texas burger, food was great. As was the service, good recommend a drink and the chef personally asked how was the slaw as he was trying a new recipe, was pleased to tell him it was ace! Highly recommended if in the area
I have dropped in for a sandwich for lunch. The BLT at £4.25 was very good: substantial, nice bacon, lots of salad. Would have been better on something other than steam baked white bread. A very nice pint of Timothy Taylor "Bolt maker" to wash it down. Pleasant staff.
I had the most amazing Sunday lunch with my parents today. Our usual pub was fully booked so we thought we would try here and what an absolute gem of a place it was. The service was fantastic and the food simply gorgeous and very reasonably priced. I cannot fault this place and we will most definitely be back again.
Fantastic. Went for New Year's Day 5 course meal it was great. Fantastic value for money and really enjoyable, food great service good. We weren't rushed, which was a good job, because with the portion sizes you wouldn't have managed it. Great job Glen.
Great Melbourne pub. Went if for a few cheeky NYE drinks. Changed very much for the better. We only had drinks but we hear that the food is very good too. Would definitely recommend.
First time here. 5 of us for Sunday lunch 3x pate starters 1x garlic mushrooms 1x turkey 1x beef 3x beef/lamb 1x lemon meringue & ice cream 2x coffees 6x drinks Everything, and I mean everything was excellent. Well done to Glenn and his staff. Expect another visit soon
