A great underground house music venue and what a superb sound system.

Just moved back to the area after years of being away...under new management was the sign outside, doesn't say howling ots been "new". Had a dj playing music, not to loud, so could still have a conversation...it was a quite welcoming atmosphere, most of the customers passing our table nodded or offered a greeting...this will be my local and it's a nice honest looking place.

Where do I start? I was staying away for the week with work having travelled 3 hours from London for a conference in Derby that evening I went to search for a curry place in Pride Park Area. Rest assured, I stay away in many places with work across the UK/Worldwide so my eye for a good curry is second to none, especially with growing up in the 70s and homegrown food! I stumbled across a social media post on Facebook promoting The Navigation Inn. Upon further research I decided to give it a go. Boy was I pleasantly surprised by the experience that night. I walked through the main doors to be treated with utter most kindness from the bar staff behind the bar along with a beautiful scent of mixed aromas coming from the kitchen in the back. Upon asking for a cheeky pint of Guinness (which was poured beautifully by the way, left to set and topped up) I came across the extensive menu offering. Wow, from mix grills to curries, Naans to noodles, the menu looked great! I ordered a regular mix grill with chef special naan and chilli chips. I was blown away! The food was absolutely delicious and I can hands down say it’s one of the best pub for mix grills in the East Midlands area, I’ve eaten at a lot of them! The environment was warm and cosy, I even had a chance to meet one of the owners who was absolutely wonderful and thanked me for my time in. Isn’t that that is all about? It was great to meet new people and socialise with the locals, after all, I am in Sales so always best to network! My parting message is this: Anyone looking to go to The Navigation Inn Derby on London Road should not think twice! Amazing food! Great drinks and lovely people! It sounds like these new owners have really turned the place around according to the locals, good on them and I wish them all the best for their future! Kuldev Singh

Probably one of the best curries I’ve ever had. This unassuming pub has a weapon of a chef. We’ll be coming back for sure!

Nice pub used to visit in the 70's to 90's on Friday lunch before the railway introduced an alcohol ban at work. Visited on a recent trip to Derby. Was a nice pub still.

Basic no frills watering hole, and reasonably priced drinks. Now under new ownership yet again. Now seem to have some decent food on offer, with a range of filled cobs. Looks promising

Pleasant pub and staff who are welcoming for an after match pint. Shame no real ale available as it had run dry but a decent booze all the same.
