Friendly staff, small bacon and egg roll, tea in a paper cup, seating in a open cold tent ⛺️ Probably better in the warmer months, dog friendly and on the cycle track.
I have enjoyed a lovely coffee here many times as a little pit-stop during a long walk. Lovely staff, dog friendly and a varied food menu (yet to try some of the amazing sounding food options!). Will always recommend this to friends and continue to return time after time!
Perfect place to grab a bite to eat and a drink (hot or cold) while walking or cycling along the old railway line. Dogs are welcome and "doggie sausages" are available.
Went to Boxcar yesterday. 2 young people serving who couldn’t raise a smile between them. Told us there was a long wait for food (not sure why as it wasn’t busy), we waited 1 hour for our wraps which weren’t worth waiting an hour for. Waited the same time for a coffee. Nice atmosphere but servers put me off and won’t be back.
Been following these guys on socials since they first launched and had been eager to get out and try. Great location for folk wandering out the railway line. Huge menu and selection of cakes but was disappointed that the items I kept choosing were out of stock on that day - could be an idea to inform customers before they make a choice or score off the menu as they sell out. Great seating area but sadly they were completely soaked, despite this we were really keen to sit and eat our food and hoped 1 of 3 young team members would’ve helped us dry them off since the rain had been off for a few hours by this point. Will definitely try again as it’s got great potential just a bit disappointing for a first go.
I have been to Boxcar for many times. I really like where it’s located and a place is cute. However, cakes are not the best. Neither fresh nor tasty. Milkshake was very bad :(( The place would be awesome if they had good desserts, maybe less variety but everything should be fresh and tasty
Really good coffee, and excellent bacon butty! Didn't have room for any of the sweet stuff on display, but an impressive looking selection. Very pretty set up with outdoor seating and plants. Great spot for dog walkers.
Great coffee and a lovely selection of cakes etc. Really liked the "Breakfast Burrito". Perfectly positioned to capture the traffic of walkers/cyclists on the Deeside Way.
This place is on a great location right on the old railway line the kids and i couldn't resist to stop, all the food items looked amazing and Ian made a superb pulled pork burger for me, reason for 3 stars is lack of seating, really needs some benches but im told its in the works.
