   I’ve had one of the worst garage experiences I’ve ever encountered at Halfords – Torry Aberdeen. I originally went in because of a front suspension knocking noise. After their inspection, they recommended replacing the front arms and bushes. I agreed, paid £754.85, and picked up the car—only to discover the same knocking noise was still there the moment I drove off. I had to go back multiple times, and after the third visit, the garage told me the knocking noise was “normal mechanical working of the car.” This was incredibly frustrating, especially because the noise was the entire reason I brought the car in. I raised a complaint with Halfords customer support, but got nowhere. They insisted the garage had told me about an issue with the stabiliser link and that I refused the repair. This is simply not true. No one ever mentioned it, and it was not listed anywhere in their original quote. I finally took my car to another independent garage. They diagnosed the issue within one hour: a faulty NSF Anti Roll Bar Link. They replaced it for £131.22, and the knocking noise disappeared completely. So after spending £754.85 at Halfords and wasting my time with four separate visits, my original problem was never fixed — and the solution was a simple part another garage identified instantly. The worst part? Halfords refused to take responsibility and closed my complaint. I strongly recommend avoiding this garage. Poor diagnosis, poor communication, and even worse customer service.

   Headlamp bulb replacement. Wrong bulb had been bought but they were quick to swap it over and refund the difference. They also noticed that one of my tyres was under inflated and sorted that while I was there. All done in under 15 minutes. Excellent service / friendly. Will definitely use them again.

   I would recommend to check the members price before you make a purchase in store as they do not display these on most occasions. The membership saved me £50 on the item I wanted, and as the cherry on top, they threw in an extra £5 to spend — just for being a member. All this for a membership that cost absolutely nothing in the first place! May be adding a few more staff to help customers with queries would improve the overall experience. Right now, there’s one poor guy doing the billing, then shutting the till to dash over and answer product questions. It’s like watching a cashier-turned-marathon-runner — impressive, but not ideal, is it?

   Very pleased with the service provided by Halfords - Torry Aberdeen. I spoke with the branch manager, and they kindly prepared the bike one day sooner than expected. This made my son incredibly happy and surprised, as he wasn’t expecting it one day sooner. Thank you all so much!

   From ordering my dashcam to it being fitted I was well impressed with the service I got from the staff at halfords in torry, aberdeen. Jakub was the member of staff who fitted the dashcam and he was very polite and is indeed an asset to your company. He's very professional and explained how to set the camera and how it works. I would have no hesitation in recommending the shop and staff to anyone.

   Poor experience throughout. Store is tired, dirty and lacks any decent signposting to assist in finding products. This would be less of an issue if there were staff on the floor to help. There weren't. Only checkout operator working and she was clearly involved in an IT issue affecting another customer. No effort was made to open another till or park one job to deal with another (despite the customer kindly suggesting this). Poor selection on offer, only had 1 of the 3 (very basic) items I needed. No apologies offered or efforts to find the additional items.

   Had a brilliant experience thanks to Nick at Torry Aberdeen Halfords. We were on a trip from Devon when our battery died. We limped it to the store and he and his team managed to source and fit a battery as short notice to get us on our way back. Fantastic teamwork and a very skilled, knowledgable mechanic and technician in Nick. Knockout customer care.
