   An Aladdin's cave of tools, fixings and stuff. If they haven't got it then you probably don't need it. Just need 3 of something? No problem. Always very helpful.

   AHC is a great place to get anything you need. I they always have anything I need that might be a little out of the ordinary. The prices are competitive as well. On my last visit, I was surprised at the stock of tools they carry too and again competitive prices on these too. Well worth a visit, although I am told they have an online presence as well.

   A traditional tool shop that sell every nut bolt threaded bar and threaded screw you could need. If by some really slim chance its not in stock they will get it for you. Although it has a small frontage the shop goes way back and there is a 1sf floor for electric tools and specialist equipment and many catalogs to order from. Some of the bigger chains might seem better but this store has far more range and choice. Support your local small store for the more human touch.

   Visited today and felt compelled to write a review as soon as I got home. Fantastic service, couldn't have been more helpful. Arrived needing a very small nut to put a traumatised child's remote control car back together. The gentleman in the shop (Ray? - sorry, may not be) not only provided exactly what was needed but, as I'm a complete numpty with not one practical bone in my body, spent ages actually fixing it for me too. Way beyond the call of duty so thank you so much.

   I tried these guys once when a battery was required, I take said battery to the till area and had the correct money and was bluntly told that I had to spend a minimum of £5. The battery was about £3.50 and I had the correct money , the assistant said he could not accept my payment because I had not spent £5 !!!! AND he got quite aggressive when I insisted I had the correct money to give him, but NO he would not budge. WOW the day has come when small businesses can refuse custom. I live very local and have needed stuff from them again but refuse to buy anything from them ever. Staff unHelpful Idiots Terrible Empathy
