Sat 3rd Jan, this branch shut 10 mins early and gave me attitude when I pointed it out. Maybe update your opening hours if you shut at 10:50?
Terrible shop me and my brother went in to buy a gift card.I had a drink from a previous shop. as we was walking out we got stopped by the security guard asking me to empty my pockets and Accusing me with another staff member saying he saw me putting a drink in my pocket which is a lie as I never went to the drink section.after me insisting on asking them to check the cameras they would not they just wouldn’t let me out.this really infuriated me as I’ve never been accused of stealing before.he also accused me of not being old enough to have an energy drink and I got it from a dodgy Conor shop,I offered to show id but he didn’t have any of it just likes accusing people of stealing and not doing his job properly.after them not letting me go for 10 minutes and them still not checking the cameras another staff member came and over and said he saw me go straight to the till so thanks to him they finally let me go but apart from that you have a security guard who needs a bit more training and staff that needs to actually see stuff happening before they say they saw something.i understand that the security guard was just doing his job but it was done very poorly by the team.first time in that shop as im not even from reading and im not used to be accused of stealing as I have never done it before im just glad they finally let me go.
It’s convenient to have a Tesco in this area, great to pick up stuff on the way home from work
The staff at this branch can't be bothered to open on time, and Tesco as a company absolutely don't care. I have been living in the area since July 2022, and have kept a diary of the FORTY-TWO TIMES (42!!!) when they haven't been open at their advertised opening time of 0600. The last twenty times have been (times indicate when I was physically there, waiting at the closed shop): (2023) Mon 18 Sep 0600-0604; Tue 19 Sep 0606-0610; Fri 29 Sep 0607-061; Mon 02 Oct 0605-0609; Mon 09 Oct 0600-0608; Tue 24 Oct 0603-0607; Thu 16 Nov 0600-0604; Fri 01 Dec 0611-0615; Wed 06 Dec 0601-0605; Tue 12 Dec 0600-0604; Wed 13 Dec 0600-0604; (2024) Mon 01 Jan 0804-0808 (i.e. even when they have an advertised opening time of 0800, they still choose not to open on time); Sun 21 Jan 0602-0606 (lights on, employee inside, obviously sees me and another customer outside waiting, refuses to open the door); Mon 12 Feb 0600-0604; Tue 02 Apr 0605-0609; Thu 25 Apr 0609-0613; Thu 02 May 0600-0601 (this was a new one - they actually opened the door at 0601 and told me "We're not opening for a while!"); Wed 04 Sep 0600-0604; Sun 08 Dec 0603-0607 and (2025) Sun 23 Mar 0604-0608. I reported the first ten times to Tesco Customer Services via WhatsApp, and they did absolutely nothing about the situation. So here I made my first post. I contacted them again via WhatsApp after the 25th incident and directed them to read this review. Again, they provided precisely zero help. I contacted them again on WhatsApp after the 40th lateness occurrence. This time they even refused to read this review, implied that I was a liar, dismissed my complaint and took no action. Less than zero help. So here I continue.
The staff at this store regularly close up 15 mins early. And I don’t mean that they simply don’t admit people. They just close. They are the laziest, most inconsiderate group of workers I have ever come across.
Tesco is a good place and pric also not bad but one lady on front serving customer she is very rude I will not go in this Tesco because of that lady .
Their EVRI collection point does not even work...why essential services like this are not being fixed? It is annoying, because this is not the first Tesco collection point that has this issue...that's why I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 star.
Manager should be fired the price you see isn't the price u pay SCAMMERS They use several tricks firstly not putting prices on products shelves therefore not applying clubcard discounts, secondly if you do the meal deal they'll swipe just two of the three to make it over £3 and they walk off quickly so you dont have time to ask for a receipt or pretend they're quickly helping someone else again avoiding giving u a receipt, they do two other common tesco scams one is putting wrong products in wrong place and doing these tricks later in the day to catch out tired customers who wont notice, those in the know should fire staff that use these trick to scam customers
