It's a Tesco Express. A reasonable range of items, just right to pop into on my way home when I can't be bothered to go to Sainsbury's in Friar Street. Nothing to complain about for a small shop.

Rahul in this Oxford Road Tesco, Reading RG1. The rudest man i have dealt with for a long time. He was talking to a colleague when I walked in. I needed to send 4 parcels. Small ones. He grinned, took them from me, and said "we aren't taking them today, but as you'll have a go at me if I dont, I will take them!". I dont know why he said this as I probably only visit this store twice a year. I said oh whys that, it doesn't say you aren't taking them? He said it does, and pointed to a sign saying respect our colleagues. I said that doesn't say you aren't taking parcels. He said I was rude and he was TELLING ME you aren't taking them. I said well either take them gladly and without argument, or politely refuse. Dont do both. He grinningly handed them back to me, I asked for his name (which that wasnt even on display), and called me rude again. A totally ignorant man. Grinning, sarcastic, and with more interest in leaning over the rail at the front of the shop than serving customers.
This outlet is smaller than others and has a limited collection of food and items, but it’s convenient during rush hour.
Seems to be more reliable when it comes to meal deal selection than the sister store in Market Sq. Bonus marks because they stock the chicken tikka and onion bhaji wrap which is S tier meal deal fodder. Usually quiet at lunch time so a quick in and out job.
I've been going to this Tesco every single week. I'm a regular customers and all of the employees knows me. A lot of employees are friendly and really helpful but the security guards doesn't like me for no reason. I haven't done nothing for wrong I normally come in and pay then leave. He accused me multiple of time for theft even I always have proof payment went through. He clearly has shown me he doesn't like me by showing anger and getting annoyed even I haven't said a world to him I use to visit this Tesco atleast 4-5 days a week as I love their service but when the security guard has shown his hate to me I started coming less an less. If this keeps happening I might have to move my business to somewhere else.
Excellent range of food, drinks, fruit and veg. Open 7 days, great value.
Tesco Express is a good alternative for shopping wen you go to work. Nice place ☺️ nice people.
Was just served by a very rude man. He was very polite and friendly towards the woman before me. Even asked if she would like a bag, when he served me though said the absolute bare minimum and didnt even bother telling me the total. I was under the impression employees serving people were meant to have people skills.
