   Was having a horrendous day getting scammed by knobheads on facebook marketplace. Decided to pop in and buy a sweet for myself and bossman absolutely made my day better. Extremely friendly, actual legend. I live 20 minutes away with probably 15 cornershops closer but I would still choose to walk down to Down the Hatch to buy from bossman again.

   Down the hatch has changed in a good way!!! The owner and his wife are extremely friendly and helpful the variety of drinks, household products, food and snacks is perfect.    Down the Hatch has had a much needed face lift. The stores staff are very welcoming, friendly & knowledgeable. Down the Hatch’s new facelift is exactly what it needed, it’s no longer dark and dull inside, it’s now bright and inviting. The staff have done a great job! Very refreshing!!

   Went for a staycation at Bournemouth last weekend, visited this store near our stay to grab few stuffs at late night, they had loads of unique American snacks to go with our favourite Rums on their shelves. shop had all the other stuff we needed for our weekend stay and a fantastic service from the guy !    Been to the shop when I came down to Bournemouth and it’s well stocked up and well managed, not only that the staff that work there this one young man that works there was genuine and very down to earth when having a conversation. The customer service there was impeccable and I truly believe they strive for excellence by being as helpful and friendly to customer. I truly believe down the hatch is a key pillar to the community.

   Just moved here and went into this shop to grab a few things and the staff were extremely helpful not only was the staff incredibly helpful but the shop was an absolute lifesaver for me to grab things I needed when I first moved, the shop is stocked up like none other I’ve been to, the variety of things they sell at the shop shows their dedication to provide the highest level of customer service in order to satisfy a customers needs. I would recommend going into the store to get the full experience. One thing I learnt after moving here from london is that the locals need show their support to their local off license store.
