   Recently turned 18 and last night tesco is one of the only shops open on a sunday night. I realised it was my friends 18th and panicked so went down there to buy her a present. (i went with my sister who’s 14) when i got in i saw that sidemen vodka had little cans and as i know she likes the sidemen i picked up 3 to get her. As well as this i got my sister some apple juice. When i got to the till they asked to see my id and i showed it to them proving i was 18 they then asked for my “friends” id which i proceeded to explain that she was my sister and i was just taking her with me. They said they couldn’t serve me but i could wait for the manager. When the manager came i explained what i was doing and he told me he couldn’t serve me. he didn’t even let me have the apple juice. I understand that they probably thought i was buying it for my sister and all but even tho i wasn’t i feel as though as long as the person buying it is of age they should sell it to them. It’s being ageist as when i use to go into the shops with my mum when she would buy alcohol they’d never id me then… Just really really annoyed me.

   Nothing wrong with the store as per what it sells - fuel, ciggies, and general groceries. It's the atmosphere. If you leave Lidl next door with bags and call in for something you get followed, they try to look in your bags which are clearly open topped - even if you go straight to to the till. Then tge counter staff snatch money from you and hold back items even after clearly showing you have the money. It's just uncomfortable in general.

   I bring a lot of parcels here for Evri to pick up. I constantly get dirty looks and bad customer service from people that work here. There was a few times the same lady called Gail has said "there is gonna be a limit on how many you can send soon" which made me feel like I wasn't welcome to send them. Another time I was in the queue and I waited to be served and she greeted me to be served she accused me of pushing in and not waiting in a queue. She's just so rude everytime I go in. If you offer a service then be happy people are using it.

   Tesco convenience store with an Esso petrol station on the same site. Tesco convenience store is small but offers all the essentials including enough ingredients to make a meal or two; however, its main strength are sweets, sandwiches, drinks etc. Seem to have a lot of products on offer and do a meal deal, there's also a Costa express machine. The petrol station has unleaded and diesel alongside air and water but no car wash.
