   Very poor owners who are rude arrogant and have no customer service unless it’s on their terms. Rooms cold bar expensive I stay regular in hotels and this has to be one of the worst for bad owners. Avoid look elsewhere

   We had our wedding held here on 13th September which was 18 months in the making. Trudy and her team at The Melbourne View were amazing all the way through. I can't recommend this place enough it was perfect. The place is spotlessly clean and nothing is to much trouble. We had exclusive use of the venue all day. Once again thank you to the team for making our day so special.. The Allen's xxx

   Only a 15 mins walk walk from Donnington park. The hotel rooms are spacious, clean and very well presented. The lady who runs the Hotel is helpful and friendly. The Breakfast (full English) was very nice.

   I had a lovely welcome, even though I was late arriving. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. It's a small hotel with a friendly atmosphere, set in a peaceful location close to Donington race track and East Midlands Airport.

   I attended my sisters wedding here and stayed overnight in a family room. We had a wonderful time, the room was clean, tidy and the beds were comfortable. The wedding was executed perfectly and the food throughout the day and evening was delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive and the bar prices were fair. All in all, a fantastic venue. Thankyou for helping my sister and brother in law have the perfect day

   After carful consideration, the owners were very kind to allow me to continue my stay knowing that I had my chihuahua with me. They were both very accommodating and were well within their rights in wanting to keep things on schedule. Admittedly hyacinth and mainly speaking, the bride della were very unorganised and caused a great delay in the ceremony and ultimately the collapsing of the lady that lead the wedding. This could all have been avoided had the bride had any clue what she was doing on the day but I do feel that her wedding photos speak volumes and tell the story of underlining sadness, which I now would like to come clean and admit that the bride and her sister hyacinth had it in for the owners of Melbourne View and clearly went out of their way to cause havoc by trying to take over the venue and pretty much self sabotage the day, which to any sane person, makes no sense whatsoever. I was paid by the halls sisters to say I was a family member and to give my previous review, but would now like to come clean and give my sincere apologies. It was actually my first time meeting the halls sisters as I was there as a plus one guest and in all honesty, I wish I hadn’t wasted the make up applied or my beautiful dress to attend. This is a lovely venue perfect for the perfect occasion which unfortunately on this occasion it was not. Thank you to the owners and all the best for the future. Miss Zara Classics

   I have stayed at Melbourne View numerous times now and it's always a delight. Friendly service from every single member of staff whether it's 8 in the morning or midnight. It has a real family feel and going there is like returning home.

   This hotel is in a beautiful setting with views to make you feel as though you are completely in the middle of the countryside. We came to a wedding here and the venue was lovely and bright. The wedding was perfect and it seemed as though everyone had a great time, the main issue we had ourselves was with breakfast the next day, it seemed as though the staff were a little flustered and stressed out due to some mistakes being made with orders and timings some people had finished breakfast before others had been served on the same table, this is something I would say needs to be worked on. I felt the rooms were a little pricey for what you got and quite hot during the night so maybe heating needs to be turned down slightly. The most important thing was that the bride and groom had an amazing time.
