   I used HCB for conveyancing on my first property purchase. Alison and her team have been extremely fast and responsive on their communication. I often hear a bad rep about solicitors going AWOL but not for Alison and her team. Their eye for detail, guiding me through the process (also giving me a heads up on what would be the next stages), and keeping me in the loop has taken out a substantial amount of stress in the property purchase. Really appreciate their hard work!

   I would like to thank Claire for all the hard work she put in to help get myself and family a fair decision at court. Claire worked incredibly quickly in such a short space of time. She was really good at explaining things to you and never judged you for asking questions as the whole process can be daunting. She is incredibly friendly and easy to communicate with. She is very honest and will not rip you off. In fact she recommends to only use her as and when you need to so you can save money. She is like a sponge when you talk to her and takes everything in and will write everything down to you so you can also remember it later down the line. She had very good knowledge and understanding of domestic violence which really helped me when I felt peer pressured inti doing things I was comfortable with or understood. I hope I’m not in position again where I need a solicitors but if I do I will be using Claire. Thank you!

   Dire communications during the purchase of a property, to the point where I had to raise my concern to the Senior Office Manager to get things moving. Despite paying my stamp duty to HCB (in advance of the purchase completion) I received from HMRC a 'Notification of Charge and Notice to Pay for STAMP DUTY INTEREST'. They didn't send my Stamp Duty payment to HMRC for 20 months!! So, to summarise: Poor communications, slow processing times and sloppy administration regarding my stamp duty payments to HMRC. NOT A GREAT COMBINATION.

   Amazing experience with the entire HCB team with Alison dealing with my sale and purchase, for me in ready for xmas and had to do lots of work chasing my buyer’s solicitors who weren’t always forthcoming, can’t recommend them enough, every time Alison was off work it was seamless as a different member of the team picked up from where she left off and kept me informed … they came recommended and I will highly recommend using this firm
