Room very basic. No electric sockets adjacent the bed. Minimal amount of tea coffee sugar.

Phoned the lovely lady midday of arrival 23/10/25 for a travel cot, in the specific room, we paid for. She notified us then that there was a noisy dog near us so would we like to move to the floor above but in same position of building we agreed to that and was very happy with it. The rooms clean the showers were nice and the staff are friendly. Everything was spot on. Thank you

a really nice hotel just outside Reading, room was good and the facilities were also good as it is part of a moto service area

Bit a a wiggle to get to but one of the better service stations . Can review rooms as I didn't stay here

Good quality room for the price. There are only two things I would like the hotel management to improve. 1. The shower hose is leaking and needs replacement. 2. The door needs additional chain lock or something so we could feel safe. The doors don't have any locks so in theory anyone could come in if they use a duplicate key. Good: Clean room, clean bedding and towels, clean shower and toilet. Hangers in good condition, clean kettle etc. , free car parking Good enough to stay for a night or two - business purposes. There is also a snack vending machine near the entrance. Also there are shops nearby if you need anything in the service station.

Good enough. Hard to find - I kept driving round and round the car park and then had to ask at the petrol station. Petrol station staff were very helpful. Had to wait at reception for quite a long time before the night porter came back from his rounds. All fine once I got in the room.

No motorway noise in the room. Free parking. Very friendly and welcoming staff. As other reviews, the floorboards are creaky in the corridor outside the room, but it didn't disturb us at all. Ground floor rooms have solid floors. Room very clean, not too hot, could open the window ajar only. Good shower, not very strong (water saving aerated) but fine. Excellent value at £30 per night. 10 mins walk to the Lime bus, which goes to Reading Central in 20 mins, for £4.50 return. We recommend and would stay here again.

After booking in we went to our room which was located next to the fire escape on the ground floor. As soon as we entered, the smell of dampness hit us like a damp stinking wrecking ball! There was absolutely no way we could stay there. We went straight back to reception and without questioning we were given another room. This was much better.

PLEASE PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF AND DON’T BOOK THIS TRAVELODGE! We booked a family room online, fully paid. Upon arrival the manager/receptionist goes by the name Tariq didn’t say anything. We went to the room only to find out it’s a Twin Room! When asked, he simply said all the family rooms were fully booked. He had no effort to search for extra bed or even a duvet and expect us to be okay to sleep on the floor. Not honest and not even sorry. This Travelodge just doesn’t care. I’m a frequent travelodge customer since 2015 and from now on I will never book with Travelodge again.

When we first came our room 136 smelt really damp and had a weird smell, so I ask the staff if I could change it and it wasn't a problem at all... The 2nd room was so much better and smelt so fresh and very clean no problem at all
