It was indeed an amazing experience renting with Nothwood (Jon Rosi) for more than 6 years. Jenni and Karen were very supportive throughout the period and most of the maintenance issues (not all) were fixed in a timely manner. The deposit return was also very quick. I'd definitely recommend!!
Excellent lettings team at Northwood. Lisa Ellis was property manager at the home that I rented for the past year. Extremely responsive and helpful. I felt well taken care of as a tenant and would recommend Northwood if you're looking for a team that is organised, responsive, and personable.
Would give 0 stars if I could. We rented when Jon Rosi was incorporated by Northwood and had a horrible experience. Karen was rude and was more favourable of keeping the landlord happy rather being a medium between tenants and landlord. The bathroom extractor fan needed repairing for months, when she came to visit she alluded that she could not hear what the issue was and it was in my head. When the electrician finally came, he said it was one of the worst fans he’s ever had to do in all his years of being an electrician as it was cemented into the ceiling. When it came to getting the deposit back upon ending the lease, they wanted to charge us for scuff marks on one door which was refused by the TDS as wear and tear. The only nice person was the lady who done the viewing for the property. Overall, do not recommend at all as a renter.
If I could rate this company zero stars, I would. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. As you can see from other reviews, they will try and take as much as possible from your deposit upon leaving, in my case, £900 which was eventually brought down to £200 after months of debating. If you think this won’t happen to you, it most definitely will. This is the first negative review I’ve written. - Northwood took 6 months to replace a broken septic tank cover on the driveway while my wife was pregnant so not only was the smell abhorrent, but this was incredibly dangerous as we obviously could not park on or walk near the drain cover. - The leaking external tap which I reported as directed that didn’t get fixed so I had to repair myself, after it costing us in monthly water bills as this was actively leaking as seen in the ‘before’ photo in the inventory. - Two damp patches in both the master bedroom, and also downstairs in the dining room, again which did not get resolved during our entire time in the property. - All of the dirty external windows which again were dirty during our stay, and only once we handed in our notice to leave was a window cleaner hired to come and clean them. - I was assured the patio slabs would be cleaned before we moved in as they were green and slippery, and with a pregnant wife being an occupant, this should not have been seen as suitable to rent. The inventory reflects that this was cleaned by myself and required me to rent a pressure washer, which I also have invoices for. DO NOT RENT A HOUSE WITH NORTHWOOD. I am currently speaking with a solicitor regarding the arbitration process to claim for such negligence.
Excellent experience. Northwoods handled the rental process very well - smooth, efficient, and hassle-free. As managers on behalf of the landlord, they were quick to arrange repairs and were available pretty much 7 days a week. (Needless to say, tap leaks etc. always happen on a weekend LOL.) No problem with check-out either, getting my full deposit back, and working with me and the landlord to keep everything quick and stress-free. I recommend Northwoods highly.
We highly appreciate the help that we got from Northwood in finding our first home in UK, Reading . Jenny, our property manager of the rented house, was very warm and extremely polite while we continiously interacted with her for getting the property ready. I would definitely recommend Northwood to all those who are looking for renting a house in UK.
Northwood reading have been my agents for the past 6years. I would not change them for anything. They are more than your regular lettings agent. They make you part of the family. They are humane. I recommend then highly. For me, they are "thee best"
Very disappointed with the maintenance service and update. After staying over an year without a single maintenance work I requested for a maintenance of the boiler 'which was broken by one of their assigned engineer'. No proactive update since last 3 months and no interest shown to fix the same. It's an example how people take silence for granted for their own temporary benefits.
Recently moved into a new rental property from another and the experience this time was much smoother, we really felt looked after by Lisa who had a vested interest in finding us a lovely house. Would definitely recommend!
