This is a fantastic garden, free for National Trust members although it is not a National Trust place. Please note, you have to pay for the parking! The garden has lots of different sagments, water gardens, a pond, a wooden area, an orchard. We spent an hour and a half here. You can also visit the green houses, which have very nice plants and decorations. There is a cafe on site which closes half an hour before the garden.

Lovely garden. A stroll round the lake and formal walled garden will be about an hour, all flat (some steps in places) and gravel paths making it an easy walk. The cafe serves a limited menu, but it was delicious, clearly homemade food. We had the tomato and basil soup with sourdough roll, and quiche and salad. The only downside was having to pay for parking even as a NT member but it wouldn't put us off returning at a different time of year.

A lovely garden to wander around and enjoy the peace. The fruit in the walled garden looked amazing. Easily kept my grandchildren occupied meandering through the paths. Lovely cafe and tasty icecream!

Charming country gardens. A nice mix of some parts left to nature and some tightly managed flower beds, lawns, and produce growing. Also, some nice water features and paths through trees to enjoy. The cafe is small with a limited menu but very nice, a couple main courses and lovely sandwiches, plus a great selection of cakes, hot and cold beverages.

Stunning private garden with an amazing assortment of flowers, trees, fruit (apples and rhubarb etc.), vegetables. The gravel path meanders around the gardens and takes a good hour. There's a tea shop, gift shop and toilets at the entrance. Lots of free parking. Due to COVID-19, we had to book and pay for tickets online.

A very nice place to visit. The gardens are great and not too large and therefore make's for a great visit. Small shop and a good cafe with excellent food, not a large choice but that is good because they concentrate on quality. Be aware that if you are a NT member you still have to pay for the car park

Looking for something to do on Good Friday, I decided to give West Green House Gardens a go as I live near the area (it was a choice between The Vyne and West Green). I would normally have attended with my partner but as she was working I went on my own, but my goodness she would have loved it (she is a gardener)! The weather was beautiful which made the whole experience rather sublime, walk around the gardens and relish in the beauty, take in the smells and enjoy how peaceful it is at the top of the garden. Staff were friendly, cafe is good with a nice selection cakes, and food. I enjoyed Persian Honey & Rose Water cake. Would highly recommend! Just a note that you will have to pay for parking, even if you are a National Trust member, but understandable for the upkeep of the stunning gardens and the operas that are put on show! Will definitely be visiting again with my partner soon to enjoy the garden in bloom!

Really beautiful and very lovingly maintained garden. One can really tell that the people working here are dedicated and enjoy what they do. There's a £5 parking charge (or was it £4.50, I forget) which applies whether one is a NT member or not and I think it is thoroughly worth it! Toilets are clean and the canteen is well laid out, if a little under-staffed...and the food, although still not my favourite, was much, much better than at NT Sheffield Park. Definitely coming back as the seasons progress.

Very nice gardens and walks with many features to see. The gardens are free if you have a National Trust membership, otherwise there is an entry fee (£9 adults, £5 children) as well as car parking charges (£4). We didn't get the chance to explore all the gardens because some parts are closed off for the Christmas lights walks, but there were very pretty lights and ornaments scattered all around the grounds. It would be a good couple of hours well spent if they were all open. There is a no picnics sign for the gardens, so don't expect to sit down and easy your own food! The shop, coffee shop and market (in the greenhouses) are all very good, and if you are lucky enough you might bump into the owner of the house - she is a great character!
