Maternity unit is awesome. My second son was born in 20.07.2024. They were done C-section within 30 minutes. Amazing ❤️Nurses also look after their Patients like a family member❤️

Sarah Rice, my mid wife, was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of, not to mention, she was incredibly patient with me and having her around made me feel at ease. If you are reading this Sarah, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so very much for everything you did dear, I will never forget you.

Had our child here. Always able to help. Some parts are old fashioned but the care and support is good that was given! 4 stars.. Edit -2025 Had my second child here, hospital is good experience with a second emergency C section. Pre labour couldn’t fault all staff very attentive and kind. Unfortunately post delivery the nurses aren’t so polite, lack of communication, lack of being informed of discharge, treatment and tests etc. Definitely needs work on the post delivery. Nearly 12 hours without pain medicine and nearly being discharged without any medication. Poor shift change attitude. Hope the delivery ward improves.

Wife admitted for ketosis, refused to take her on the ward until she had been bled in very busy A&E, where we had a seat in the hallway. When we got on the maternity ward, 5 staff sitting behind the desk chatting, no one else there, so not too busy. Then they were being very rhetorical about what the GP should have done, making my wife very anxious, only nice staff was the lady with the half and half coloured hair! My wife appreciated her!

I wish I could remember the name of all the professionals who attended me when my baby was born. From the ward 11 to the delivery suite and ward 12, the staff was well-organized, supportive, friendly, professional and attentive.

Great and knowledgeable staff, can only praise them for the job they do. I had the best experience you can have as first time mum.

Had my baby boy here in February and it was one of the best experiences I could have hoped for. Being a first time mum I was terrified of labour but from start to finish I was made to feel comfortable. I was lucky enough to use the birthing pool which was amazing and I would highly recommend if you’re considering it! Would love to thank our amazing midwife Jade who was nothing but patient and encouraging throughout!

Both of my kids were born here (without many complications thankfully). We got great care from a brilliant staff and quickly back home. Can't thank everyone enough

First time Dad thanks to the amazing staff here. From cleanliness to speed we were seen. Long wait to move to Delivery to be induced but the care through out was second to none. Lovely midwife Lauren took good care of both of us through the night, day shift took over faultless and got the delivery done. Post care was amazing too. Parking is a fault. It's pay upon leave up to 24hr. Anything over, you pay a week the first day. If you don't know then you owe £70 fine rather than 10 ticket. Seems a dirty trick. Given the care I won't let the parking trick bring down my rating of an excellent unit.
