I have unfortunately had to return to the surgery 4 times in recent weeks & for the first 3 appointments I have nothing but gratitude and praise for the GPs & receptionists who were all lovely. Sadly my last visit with the nurse/practitioner was awful, she was unfriendly & completely dismissive of my concerns, very rudely talking over me whilst I was trying to explain my situation, her manner was rude & belittlingβ¦. Absolutely not what I needed when feeling unwell. I understand we all have differing ways of interacting & some have better people skills than others but this was uncomfortable and uncaring, sadly a real let down for a great practice!

Not rang up for years as so stressful so normally avoid like the plague. Rang today and as per usual no one answered my call. What do we pay tax for exactly? Itβs a shambles this surgery!

Very very poor, rude reception staff, not all but a couple. Excessive waiting time, only really a couple a decent GPs at the practice who are knowledgeable and seem to genuinely care. No wonder A and E services are unnecessarily rammed with patients who should be sorted out in tertiary care. Why is nothing being done about this poorly performing practice with certain staff who should consider a career change.

I have recently been really disappointed with the reception staff at chellaston medical centre. The receptionists are absolutely brilliant with so much compassion and concern when they are unable to book you an appointment but I went in to ask for an appointment after trying for several days only to be met with a new women who obviously should not be a receptionist. I have been with chellaston surgery for many years now and although I may not have received an appointment, I have always had a smile and polite bantor with the receptionists explaining the situation. All I received today was go to A&E or call again in 24 hours. I was in great pain which was quite obvious and not even a smile she gave. I think people know which receptionist i mean as everyone there had similar experiences with this one lady

My father needed an appointment on Thursday of this week. Is under the Melbourne side, but fortunately was able to get an appointment at Chellaston side. A wonderful doctor ( David). Very efficient, took time to put my father at ease and was very understanding. Can't fault this surgery at all. Well done.

I'm very unhappy with the service I've received at the surgery in the past few months. I went to see a doctor on Monday for a bad chest infection that keeps reoccurring every 6-8 weeks only to be told it's a viral infection and they can't help me. In the last 5 months of going to the surgery for help when my son ( only 7 months old) or myself, we are always turned away and told it's viral and they can't help. I understand you can get a viral infection at times but not every single visit and by every Doctor and Nurse. I think this is disgusting and I have completely lost faith in the practice.

Had to visit the Surgery recently because of a chest infection Despite having to queue up outside waiting for surgery to open at 8 am. I was very satisfied with the care I received. Both from the Receptionists on duty who were efficient and polite, to both Doctors I saw Doctor Arctus and Doctor Claire Hallas. Thank you very much.

****THEY PUT YOU IN MEDICAL DANGER AND DO NOT SAFE GUARD THE DISABLED COMMUNITY **** I am disabled and have been ringing for an appointment to see the doctor for the past 12 weeks. The doctor I did eventually see asked me to book an appointment in 6 weeks time. That was over 3 and a half months ago and I am still unable to get an appointment. They do not care about my mental state or health. They say I have to call at 8am which I do but by the time they answer there are no appointments left. They say to come down to the surgery but I am disabled, I have no family or friends to rely on. They do not offer appointments in advance such as the day after. They only offer appointments for that day which are gone by 8:30am if your lucky enough to get through. This medical centre is putting people in MEDICAL DANGER and refusing to safe guard individuals and especially disabled individuals who cannot "turn up at 8am" They are not helping me or coming up with suggestions of how I can speak to a doctor or even book an appointment. I have been on hold now since 8am, that was 1 hour and 31 minutes ago. They are not safe guarding anyone, please do not register here. I have emailed, they refuse to help and tell me to turn up or call again tomorrow. They are delaying me getting diagnosed with other medical conditions which they are worsening by not even getting me an appointment to be diagnosed! I am in medical danger of this practise

Iβm absolutely appalled with the service at chellaston medical centre - the person I support who has a disability had an appointment at chellaston medical centre. We arrived and was seated straight away. 50 minutes went by so I stood up too ask if everything was okay and that we was booked in. For them too turn around and tell me that it was a telephone appointment and the lady doesnβt actually work at the doctors , she works else where. We was waiting for 50 minutes! For what? The lady at reception DID NOT tell us on our arrival that it was a telephone appointment as we wanted too see the doctors face too face. Which we wanted originally and what we asked for in the first place. Absolutely disgusting, especially when we have a very vulnerable person involved. If there was an option for NO STARS thatβs what Iβd be giving them right now. Disgusting
