Went for swim today. Had a great session thanks. Staff super helpful and friendly. Water was good quality saw plenty of fish. Cafe looks top notch although I didn't sample it. Lake is small compared to others I've embarrassed myself at however it's a great place. I think I parked in the wrong place as from what I understand after watching other swimmers walking back down the lane you should park by the diving shop, not the cafe right by the lake which I did..... apologies. Thanks great fun friendly atmosphere.

We went for swimming at Andark Lake with my friend for the first time this week. And we will definitely come back. I've met a lovely people there, had a nice chat with some visitors, very friendly environment. The service was nice, we got everything explained to us. The changing room was big but lacks privacy. When visiting, there was about 90% of visitors ladies, but the facility has more male changing rooms. Ladies changing room had 2 toilets and 2 showers, no changing stall where you can privately get dressed. People been using toilets for this purpose which caused others to wait for toilet or changing place. Make sure you have £1 coin with you for the locker. The lake is beautiful, there are ducks and birds nesting and swimming around, it's charming. Water is a bit cold, but that's expected and once you get used to it, you gonna enjoy it a lot. To warm yourself up, you can order a nice cup of coffee to enjoy by the water afterwards. Can't wait to book another swim session

Love little campsite with a swimming lake and a cafe. Very quiet and central to the Southampton side of the Solent area.

Basic site, but has everything you need, ehu via cable direct to moho. It has a swimming lake, toilets, showers and a cafe. There is also an elsan disposal unit for your toilet waste disposal. And the staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. It's also a good stop for the Portsmouth port as well as its only 20 mins from the port. Definitely recommend it.

Andark Lake is perfect for those wishing to start open water and cold water swimming or dipping, You can find Andark Lake, which is just off the A27 near the marina in Lower Swanick; look out for Oslands Lane; as you drive in, you'll see a carpark on your right. Park here and walk up the track to find the lake; if you are disabled, your can drive up to and use the spaces up there; however, there is limited parking. I've been swimming at Andark Lake for many years; the water is always clear and clean. It's an incredibly relaxing and surprisingly quiet place for a swim. The only slight drawback from my perspective is the lack of accessibility for disabled users. It is difficult accessing the water; as a double-leg amputee, I'm pretty mobile, but I sometimes struggle getting in and out. Once you've enjoyed a refreshing dip, the lake has a small cafe where you can buy tea, coffee and some small cooked food. Sitting by the lake is the perfect way to end your visit. If you Andark Lake are a keen swimmer or you want to start open water or cold water swimming, this is a great place to start.

One of my favourite places in Hampshire. As an avid swimmer Andark Lake has been a life saver - great facilities, from the changing rooms to cafe the clear, fresh water to the surrounding nature, it's all so beautiful! Highly recommend if your local or passing through.

Absolutely love my swims here. Amazing location, quiet and peaceful and a great place to swim where you don't have to worry about abrasive chemicals or water quality! Changing rooms are tidy and cafe is great too.

I began cold water swimming here last year and absolutely loved it. I wish I had found it sooner as I also swim here every week in warmer weather as it is much nicer than a pool. The changing rooms are fabulous and the coffee good as well. My son recently completed his PADI diving course here with a group of friends and they all rated the instructors and facilities. Top marks!

I attended the Introduction to Open Water Swimming course here in July. It is something I have wanted to try for a long time. I learnt so much. Kate is incredibly knowledgeable and explained so much. The course included a swim in the lake which was clean. clearly marked and is an amazing experience. Great that you can book to swim here regularly and I have found out lots more about open water swimming locally since this course.
