This is the first time we've stayed here & upon entering we were greeted by the happy friendly staff at the desk. They made it easy to check in & were very helpful. The room was clean, tidy & well presented, fresh towels, bedding, bathroom spotless etc. The location isn't far from the stadium so ideal for gigs, football etc & only a 5min drive to plenty of restaurants. The reception has a small bar & the breakfast had a reasonable selection including the usual full English, cereals, fruit, pastries, coffee & juices. Staff were constantly refilling breakfast items & checking everything was okay. Overall we enjoyed our stay & at this price point it's what you would expect & we would be happy to use it again with no problems.

Useful location close to my work location, the football stadium and its surrounding, so plenty of places to eat and drink. Subsidised parking in a barriered carpark in front of hotel. I paid £6 per night rather than £12. Staff all seemed friendly and helpful at reception and in restaurant. Buffet style english breakfast with both hot and cold food. Restaurant food similar to pub food at similar prices (£15-20 mains). Room was a good size, clean and tidy with ironing board and kettle with tea and coffee. Easy checkin and checkout with emailed VAT invoice or paper copy on request.

This hotel is ideally situated in Pride Park close to the business we were visiting. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Check in was simple and efficient. Car park is charged but reduced for residents. The breakfast was included and was good. The hotel is close to several restaurants for dinner

We stayed here on 29th August 2025. First time we have stayed with this chain, Very pleased with our stay. The lovely gentleman who checked us in couldn't have been any more helpful, highly recommend. The room was clean and suited our needs. The breakfast was lovely too.

This hotel is only good for very short stays, like a couple of days max. The rooms are comfortable enough for (short stays), but the AC units don't seem to be cleaned very often as it was very dusty (and the flap didn't even close when the AC was off), the furniture is showing its age and the desk was even creaking when I tried to use it. Also, as a welcome bonus I had a spider in my room. The bathroom is functional, but lacks better lighting, as the rest of the room to be honest. Finally, the breakfast has very limited variety, the quality should also improve, and the breakfast area itself is a bit undersized. For the positives, the guy that checked us in (Mudd I believe) was very nice and competent, and the car park is great if you're travelling with a car.

Stayed for a night due to work the guy who checked me in on the 16th around 4ish (sorry bad with names) was such a nice bloke told me everything I needed to know later on that day I asked him a couple of questions about places to eat around the area as was my first time gave me 3-4 options and the option or order a takeaway to the hotel and could either eat it in the bar area or in my room the room was nice and clean tea and coffee given free plus included breakfast will 100 percent be staying again when I need to come back up to derby for work I work in customer service myself and have to say the manger should give them all a pat on the back especially to the guy who checked me in thank you

Great value Holiday Inn Express located Pride Park. Modern, clean, it has a great bar & lounge and is within easy reach of the centre. Try Niccos restaurant across the road for a wonderful contemporary North Indian dining experience.

Never again say breakfast is included in price ha ha we never got any. Say that the had technical problems so we asked for refund very reasonable we thought but no holiday express say it’s free it’s in the price . That’s why we chose for breakfast could of gone to premier inn with full breakfast cheaper will in future. Won’t use again never got any apologies nothing.

Back again! Busier this visit, but the staff are still as attentive and always have time for a chat. I was incredibly tired when I arrived and the staff gave me a room out of the way which was very much appreciated. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was super comfy. Breakfast is great, lots of selection and the staff whizzing around keeping everywhere clean. Check-in and out is easy, everything just seems to flow nicely at this hotel with professional and knowledgeable staff. Great place to stay.
