   In my experience I find the staff to be patient, polite, very professional and helpful. There was a period when waiting times were long (a national issue). Recently this issue has improved substantially.

   This pharmacy has by far provided the worst experience of any pharmacy I have ever used. Every single time I have been, there has always been an issue. I received a text saying my prescription was ready, I even left a few extra days just in case. When I arrived, the assistant continuously questioned me stating ‘Are you sure you haven’t picked it up already?’. - Yes, I’m absolutely sure... Surely the system should show if a prescription has been collected or not? I also asked to see the pharmacist about another issue to which the response was ‘Oh no sorry, it’s lunch time so the pharmacist isn’t available for another 1.5 hours’ - 1.5 hours?! How long is this lunch break?! So, I’m told to come back 2 hours later, and when I do my prescription has been found and was in the wrong box. Admittedly, the assistant did apologise but I did not appreciate the sentiment that it was my fault for being forgetful. On another occasion, the GP prescribed me medication on a Friday and said to go to the pharmacy on Monday. On the first trip, there was no pharmacist and I was told to come back in a few hours when hopefully one arrives, Great... On the second time, they told me the prescription was out of stock and might be out of stock for a while - or to quote ‘might be days, might be weeks, might be months’ and was proceeded to be asked ‘do I need it?’ - what kind of a question is that? Do I need the medicine I was prescribed?! How ridiculous! So they gave me the printed prescription to try elsewhere but ‘they probably have the same supplier as us so don’t get your hopes up’ Well, they don’t have the same supplier because less than 24 hours later I have the prescription. I appreciate that service can never be perfect due to unforeseen circumstances, but Day Lewis Pharmacy Newbury seem to be unable to foresee anything beyond the end of the counter.

   I wish they would improve over time. Never received a phone call or I was just unlucky. As it's a convenient location being close to surgery, so obviously it is sought after, but never got a prescription in a single visit. Wish them all the best.

   The pharmacy was not at all busy when I went in at about 10.40am. The pharmacist and assistant, were polite and smiled. My doc had sent prescription through electronically and it was made up straight away for me so I was in there less than 5 minutes. Splendid service.

   Very poor overall customer service. Attitude to patients not great. I know they are a very busy pharmacy but there is no excuse for the attitude that prevails at this branch. No longer use them at all. By far the worst pharmacy in Newbury, especially for customer service.

   I have been going there for many years, and they do have staff problems like every other chemist has . They are always friendly under pressure and don’t deserve negative feedback when everywhere is understaffed.

   Chronically understaffed, long queues, no one answers the phone, some staff rude to customers and mistakes happening when asked to return prescriptions (needed to go elsewhere where the medicine is actually in stock!).

   For all the people complaining about this Pharmacy, go yo Lloyd's in Thatcham there are 2 the queues are ten times worse. Day Lewis staff have been nothing but friendly and helpful
