   Everything was a bit better than expected. The receptionist was very helpful. I didn't have enough change for the car park (it's only £3), but she even gave me some change. The hotel is good value for money and peaceful and I liked the location. The breakfast was good quality for £9.95. I treated myself, and it's a nice dining area. I liked it. It had a bit of character about it and was tucked away near the train station. I can't be sure, but the pub on the other side of the car-park might be the smallest pub in the world and I took photos. It appeared to be next to its own little brewery. Very cute. If I was staying longer, the Travelodge appears to be near some decent takeaways and the building had some industrial charm. The room was clean and faultless. Yes, for the price, I'd give it 5 stars :-)

   Room was a good size, spotless and just what we needed The only down side was food, what we got was nothing like what was described on menu, side salad was literally unwashed lettuce nothing else no dressing nothing straight out the bag! 2 out of 4 of our party ended up severely unwell, of course could have been purely co incidental

   On arrival the staff kindly checked me in early, which was appreciated. I’ve stayed at this hotel several times over the years and it’s clear it has changed hands a few times. The recent cosmetic improvements are very good – fresh carpets, clean spacious rooms, and everything felt much more modern and cared for. Breakfast: I ordered breakfast late at night, but when I came down in the morning I had to prove I’d paid because the night team hadn’t added it to the list. The same thing happened the next day too, which left me feeling a bit embarrassed having to explain myself in front of other guests. Thankfully one of the staff members recognised me and confirmed I had paid. The cooked breakfast itself was hot and decent. However, the apple and orange juice from the machine is honestly vile. I don’t understand why the machine is used at all – the cost of servicing it, cleaning it, and stocking it must be more than simply putting fresh juice in jugs. The coffee machine looks impressive, but the coffee is very weak. Even after staff refilled the beans, there was no improvement in the taste. On a positive note, the hotel overall is great. The dining room is beautifully designed. The manager especially stood out – hands-on, friendly, helpful, and absolutely going above and beyond. I even saw her outside with a bin bag picking up cigarette ends and rubbish. She clearly cares about the hotel and its guests. I’m looking forward to staying again, and I hope the small negatives are taken as constructive feedback to continue the brilliant improvements already made to this lovely building. I am aware if you have a back room, good luck the with noice of the trains during the night, keeping my other party members awake, nothing the hotel can do, but be aware! Pay and display in the car park, £6 for 2 days, not bad.

   Arrived October 28th and had a lovely stay at Travelodge. Amy was so kind and welcoming — she even found a bin bag at breakfast so my little girl could tidy her rubbish. Tom was also amazing, helping carry my bag to the room after it broke. The room was clean and comfy, but it’s the staff who really made our stay. Thank you both!

   Booked 3 months in advance. Turned up to the hotel greeted by a security guard not letting the general public in because it had been booked out by refugees. Not happy at all cost me the petrol money to return home an hour away. No refund as it was booked through Expedia. Awful!

   Found out via a friend that this hotel is now close to public to house/help immigration not happy that we didn't find out from the hotel its self. No email, so I phoned to confirm and yep its true! The place has closed, so if you have a booking give them a call, there's no where else to book now, so our tickets for an event, will now go to waste!! Absolutely awful! Totally gutted!!

   I received an email from the yesterday cancelling my booking for next week with no reason given, a whole group of us now need to find alternative accommodation for an event we are going to the weekend, we liked to stay here because of its location and the quaint pub in the carpark. I'm guessing they are going to be renting the whole hotel out to the government for a while.

   Good sized room. It's still a Travelodge with an Ibis badge. So no surprises - basic but comfortable. Great location right by the station with pay car park. A bit of railway history.

   The staff are lovely happy to help when the key card wasn’t working sorted the problem out quickly, beds are comfortable and clean, views out the window are good watching the sun set go down was beautiful to see, very big and spacious, they include a fan, tea & coffee, will be coming again whenever I’m in burton, good for the money.
