We visited on Sunday, 16th November and had a fantastic experience. All the staff were friendly and attentive. The Sunday roasts were exceptional – the cauliflower cheese was delicious, and the meats were incredibly juicy and full of flavour. The homemade desserts hit the spot perfectly to finish off the meal. The ales were great too. Highly recommended

Had a lovely stay at the hotel Very good food, locally sourced meats which was a nice touch. Breakfast included, they give a selection of cooked breakfast in the morning from a menu. Room was clean, cosy, warm. Staff very friendly, nice manager, and a shout out to the staff "launa" but all staff sould get 100% credit. Would stay again and recommend, ideal for alton towers stay. Very welcoming place

Great find for us. Brilliant food and the staff were brilliant, couldn’t fault them. The lady from breakfast was brilliant too. Very comfy nights sleep and if we are ever over that way again we will definitely stay here.

Met up with friends last Sunday as equal distance between us all. What a really charming local pub in a small village with great service and fantastic Sunday roasts! Loved my lamb roadt and others in the group loved their lamb, beef and vegan option Wellington roasts! Looking forward to going back!

Stayed a night here and I will be happy to return. Comfy bed in a clean room. Extractor from kitchen was noisy and could be heard in the bedroom, which may put some people off but I don't mind a bit of background noise while sleeping. Service in restaurant and bar was faultless. Evening food was very average, avoid the steak at all costs! Other than that nice enough and breakfast was nice to be fair, service at breakfast was again impeccable. Outside area for drinks is a big plus, nice place to sit & relax.

Family of 15 catered for. Excellent service Fantastic food. Would definitely recommend the Sunday roast dinner. Very full of flavour not bland like most pub chain dinners. 10/10.

I came to the Crown for a festive lunch with my family, a warm cosy pub atmosphere welcomed us. Our three course lunch was just right, enough food but not so much that it left you bloated. On this Wednesday afternoon it was not busy but there were enough customers to create a pleasant experience for us. Marston Montgomery is a bit off the beaten track but I think it was worth the effort to get here. Average price for good traditional fare, I can recommend The Crown Inn. I hope you enjoy your visit as much as I enjoyed mine.

We went for a family meal on Saturday. The meal was really disappointing, long wait times, very small portion of pie. The chips were undercooked BUT the gravy that came with the meal was a very small amount in a jug that had obviously been used previously, given the state of the drips. It was changed and a fresh one bought out when I asked. It was a busy evening but not overly so, when I said I was disappointed in the meal I was told to speak to the bar. The whole experience puts us off going again.

The cutest stay I've been in for a while! Location is good if you have a car, no shop for miles. But have most things at hotel for you. Owner was amazing, remembered my name from the time I go there and left. Really welcoming little home from home!!

Excellent food in a quiet village location. Very helpful and friendly staff. Very good value for money. Only drawback is the size of the car park which means you may have to park on the roadside. But that doesn't detract from the visit.
