   The price reflects the quality of your stay. If you're happy for cheap and cheerful, don't mind a few spiders, a half hearted cleaning effort then it's the perfect place to pop your head for the night. Bed was comfortable. Room had a small fridge which was handy, shower was nice and warm. There was a strange whirring all night but otherwise the owners were pleasant and accommodating. Great for a pit stop enroute to somewhere else.

   Common Farm all in all, is not a bad place to stay. Situated on the A51, it provides good access to the cities of Lichfield, Stoke on Trent & the towns of Uttoxter, Cheadle & Stone. The property itself, was immaculately clean & relatively well appointed. There's a fridge, microwave & kettle in the room, along with a folder containing some local info for taxis & takeaways. The en suite shower room, was very nice - the shower was powerful - and a few complimentary toiletries are supplied also. I would happily offer a greater star rating than 3, if the bed & pillows were improved. Sadly, I didn't sleep at all well across my two nights & really felt the discomfort of the (possibly) cheap bed furnishings. The owners & their black lab dog, were incredibly hospitable & friendly. The motel could do with a full time handyman come decorator, to improve ^ slightly modernise the converted barns yet further. Also, just keep a sharp eye out for the turning for the property. It's not overly easy to find & easily misses, as the A51 is a fast road. Turn right at the speed camera, if you're coming from the Lichfield direction. Conversely, turn left if coming from the opposite direction.

   You get what you pay for. After a long day on the motorbike returning from a tour in the north, we added a day and stayed at Common Farm overnight. The owner was welcoming and friendly and the place was comfortable - a bit dated but for the price that was to be expected. Breakfast was available as an extra and collected the night before - it was adequate but contained 2 pints of milk for two bowls of cereal and a few cups of tea. But it was reasonably priced and welcomed before we set off for another day. I’d stay there again.

   I stay here regularly for work and always manage to get a good nights sleep, rooms are basic but perfectly adequate, normally with at least a kettle and microwave. Warm in winter and cool in summer. The owners are great, very friendly and helpful.

   I stayed in the same room as the last reviewer - last week (so unless he was under the bed I am not sure what to say). I had a lovely stay, so much so that I am back there again this week, and will be booking next week as well. fort the price it's excellent value, the owners are a lovely couple and nothing is too much trouble for them. The room is made up/cleaned every day, it's peaceful, relaxing and has all of the essentials I need for a week away with work. It's on a farm, so don't expect it to be thoroughly modern and immaculate, but do expect it to be functional, clean, neat and full of character. I haven't inspected the place for spiders, but then again I haven't seen any either! Lovely place, lovely people and a relaxing place to stay - what more do you need?
