I visited this hospital yesterday with a long term pain condition and was impressed with the caring nature of all the staff. Being greeted at every stage of my visit with a smile and help to know where to go and what to expect made the appointment so much better than I was expecting. The consultant was thorough and honest in his approach and I felt I could trust him completely. I had had a fall the day before and they even offered me an X-ray which was not related to my appointment. The hospital was bright and modern, with the feeling of a private hospital. Most impressed!!

Just had a knee replacement done by Col Carl Meyer and team. Polished, professional and great fun. Hard to enjoy pain unless you’re laughing. The catering was the best I’ve had in my 55 years of using NHS. Hot, tasty and well cooked and presented. My overall experience of this hospital has shown it’s the people not the government who make a difference. Thank you all.

My Mam had a car accident back in 2011. It was a stress on my dad as he had a 60 mile round trip to see her daily. We had the ability to sleep over in a house on site. My mam’s accident meant that she had fractured all of her spinal vertebrae and had 3 vertebra pressing on her spinal cord. With the help of this wonderful hospital she was taught how to do things to make life easier such as transferring from a wheelchair to a bed. She was given hydrotherapy and physiotherapy and it was thought that she would most likely never walk again. However she is a determined Welsh woman who beat all the odds! She walks although can’t manage long distance without being in severe pain and discomfort. She can just about manage stairs but again it is a struggle and most importantly she had to retake her driving test twice to prove that she could do it. She now drives which has given her independence. I will be forever grateful to the hospital and their dedicated team.

I have been attending this wonderful hospital for the last 25 years due to having Osteoarthritis and witnessed the hospital growing and changing for the better through improved techniques and advances in surgical procedures. However two things that have not changed is the cleanliness of the hospital and the friendliness and professional, caring attitude shown by all staff. Last year I had hand surgery under the care of the wonderful Mr Roushdi. Who always have time to listen and presents himself with a professional, caring attitude and manner. Unfortunately a few weeks after surgery I had a fall and injured my hand again! Mr Roushdi advised me he could sort this out for me and he has. 8 weeks ago I had surgery and now I am pain free. A big thank you Mr Roushdi, his secretary and everyone else who have been involved in my care.

Referred here after spending all day in Princess Royal Telford in a bed and gown just to be told my surgery will not be happening. Communication top notch and never once left in the dark about whats happening, was told surgery would take place around 12pm and this was true. Allowed me to go home as soon as I felt well after being under anaesthesia. Incredibly helpful nurses and staff across the board, very very good hospital to be treated!

I've attended several times and each time has been as good as a hospital visit can be. The staff are wonderful, very helpful and understanding. The multifaith room is a lovely space to use and very helpful too. The radiology department went above and beyond to help me, the hospital is well laid out and very clean. I wish my local hospital was as good as this one.

Been coming here for 20 years. Professor Richardson was amazing and sorely missed. Mr Banerjee did a brilliant job with my new hip 8 years ago and I don't think I would've been able to walk without him. Incredible hospital, very clean and always well looked after. Many hospitals could learn a lot from Oswestry!
