   Revisited again this year ? Lovely Location service in the main hall letting this establishment down was appalling ? Waited 40 min for a cold Coffee Helloo , I went the bar to collect myself ? To be told ! Sit down will be with you soon ? I paid for a drink , and expected a drink ? Not just on coffee any drink , bar manger was rude , apologies but still no drinks ? Get it right , please let people pick up their own drinks ? Not all pensioners have a tolerance for waiting ? Life to short , Mrs C Higgins Won’t be returning and I was a group of around 12 people

   No catering for dairy free. I am lactose intolerant and there are no special arrangements for the likes of me. Quite disappointing. Turkey cooked in butter. All the decent desserts are made with milk or cream. They don't seem to have heard of plant based cream, lactose free cheese or milk or butter. The other priblem is the temperature in the corridors and entrance areas. I had to go back to my room and put another layer of clothes on. Its freezing inside the building here.

   First warner break. Totally amazing experience. Came alone and wasn't aware that most people who come here are slightly of older age but that didnt stop me enjoying myself and chatting with anyone. Room was clean, well provided for. Entertainment and the team themselves were amazing. Meals were great, great variety at the market kitchen especially if you like trying other food (that is not the roast), starters and great desserts. Billy my waiter was really friendly and attentive and I can see everyone here worked really hard and are genuinely friendly and great people. Lovely grounds that is amazing to walk in autumn. Can see how beautiful it will be in spring or summer when the flowers are out.

   Absolutely superb 4 day break at Alvaston Hall this week. The entertainments team were the very best I’ve seen at any of the Warner hotels. They work so hard not only on stage which was amazing but also all around the hotel keeping everyone entertained during the day. I wish them all well in the future, keep up the good work. To summarise , the room was clean and comfortable, food was very good, and the entertainment was second to none. We will definitely be back!!

   Good sized room with comfortable bed. Quite clean. Communal areas were tired, chairs were uncomfortable and the communal areas were not cleaned adequately. Staff were pleasant and helpful but there was not enough staff in the bars or dining areas and they were run off their feet and therefore guests had long waiting and queuing times. The food in the dining rooms was only just warm. We never managed to get a meal that was hot, including the soup. Ice cream arrived melted though? No teapot at breakfast I was given a teabag by the waitress who had them in her pocket which I had to place in a cup and she then poured warm water on it out of a flask. Coffee was delivered out of a flask as well. No cafetiere. I am vegetarian and found my choice very limited and unfortunately also found that the same spoon was being used by guests on the self service buffet to dish themselves meat lasagne and then a portion of the vegetarian bake. I just had potatoes and carrots that night. The vegetarian choice is that dish or nothing. We were under the impression from the Web site that activities such as Archery, pistol shooting etc were included in what we paid, they were not and are chargeable in advance. The entertainment on an evening was good. We won't be returning it did not live upto our expectations, although some guests explained some of the other hotels are much better and that Alvaston does appear to be penny pinching now both in the lack of staff, quality of food and furnishings.    Lovely break. Great entertainments team and lots of free activities to join in with if felt like. Plenty of different lounges to quiet or lively times. Good range of food choice. Staff so helpful and friendly. Good value for money

   Amazing place. Fabulous food, beautiful room, marvellous entertainment and lovely attentive friendly staff. Was that good we have already booked for Christmas next year. Cannot rate the place high enough. Would recommend without any hesitation. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Well worth paying a little bit extra for a brilliant experience. True Five Star rating.

   Just returned from a four day break at Alvaston Hall with Family members ad we all had a very enjoyable time. It was all up to the usual Warners standard with good food, good entertainment, friendly staff and comfortable accommodation. Last visited Alvaston Hall in 2007 and it was good to see that great changes and improvements have been made. The whole complex is now very nice indeed. Will I visit again? Yes I will!!

   We booked a long weekend at Alvaston Hall. The staff were fantastic from the entertainment team, table and kitchen service to accommodation and housekeeping. The rooms were clean and well stocked with tea and coffee making facilities. The entertainment team were always on hand to lift your spirits with an activity or quiz during the day and alway provided high quality entertainment in the evenings. The breakfast had a huge range of choice from cereals, fruit and pastries to a full English. The evening meals had a good choice if you booked your table earlier rather than later but you were always served by courteous, friendly staff. I took full advantage of the swimming pool and saunas on site which were well kept and clean.

   Lovely friendly staff. Lots of activities to take part in if you wish to. Great choice of entertainment on each evening in all bars. Good variety of drinks, food and snacks. We booked a double room and were pleasantly surprised to get a settee and very large bed and 2 TVs. Also had a small fridge and tea coffee facilities. Room 418, Fairways. The carpets could have done with a steam clean, but didn't put us off.
