   Last Summer, Abacus Tables created the most stunning, bespoke, live edge European oak dining table, with matching French oak sideboard and shelving unit to compliment our newly extended and renovated dining room. I had been liaising with Richard over a few months, as both our home and the design for our furniture evolved. Richard was absolutely inspiring in his enthusiasm and drive for really creating our perfect dining room heirlooms! Our helix table is part of the Abacus Elegance Collection, created in partnership with the Korean steel designer, Alex Joo. Our table is supported by a beautiful Art Deco gold helix structure, which graces our home with its truly unique elegance. The table top is finished in a y dark oak stain with induro oil finish, which the woodwork specialists, particularly Arne, have finished to perfection. All the team have been tremendous and I am so sorry I can not recall everyone’s names, including our lovely delivery team! Our sideboard has beautiful, small gold helix handles which Richard sourced specially for us. Richard and I, deliberated greatly over our sideboard and shelving unit; time well spent, as this is a truly impressive space where I can store and display books on art and culture inherited from my wonderfully well travelled parents, alongside other family treasures. Chloe works so assiduously in her liaison role and is incredibly kind and resourceful, John and Sushil helped me to navigate the logistical and financial aspects of our commitment, and to approach fulfilling this in a prudent manner for all. Correction: table top finish is walnut not dark oak.
