Pierre’s baguettes are always fresh and absolutely delicious. The service is great too ,friendly and welcoming every time. Truly one of the best places for baguettes in Reading!
The fact this place is always packed at lunch should be a big clue to how good it is. Always friendly service with a smile, great prices and quality food. Lots of choice of lunchtimes goodies, including (as the title suggests!) baguettes, sandwiches, salads, crisps, drinks and sweet treats. Highly recommended, the baguettes and the million fillings options are superb.
Ordered two bacon baguettes and basically took ready cooked bacon out from storage and put into warm baguettes. Friendly service but no idea about food and hygiene or cooking. Thought she might have microwaved it so didn't say anything at the time but got on train and realised so binned them
Always so friendly here, I’ve been almost bedridden for the last few weeks because of my depression and Pierre’s baguettes have been single-handedly keeping me fed, it’s affordable,tasty and accessible on deliveroo which really helps people like me for when I feel like I’m trapped at home but need something that won’t break the bank, it’s always delivered so quick as well 15-20 minutes usually and I live far outside of town. Such a lovely place to grab something cheap for lunch and the workers are always so kind, really a gem in Reading
This is the third time ordering a baguette from here and I have given feedback each time about their baguette filling completely falling out. Their baguettes are far too thin/cheap to fit any amount of filling inside and they carelessly try to shove filling inside and it all spills out making it impossible to eat properly. I suggest for the third time, spend more money and make your baguettes bigger so they can actually be edible! Sharing pictures attached to demonstrate how thin the baguettes are and the spilled filling. Please take the feedback on board!
A bit hit and miss with portion sizes, particularly with the jackets. Always efficient service and everything tastes great. A little more expensive than similar places for baguettes, which is probably due to the cost of operating in the town centre.
I get the chicken and bacon Mayo baguette every single time and it hasn’t failed me yet
Been visiting Pierre's or the one near the station for about 20 years. Good old fashioned non pretensious baguettes hand made in front of your eyes. If it's not on the menu they can do a custom creation for you. Apart from baguettes they sell coffee, tea, soft drinks, cake slices and crisps. Great for lunch.
Had to go into Reading to run some errands this lunchtime and as I didn't have any lunch I thought I'd try somewhere new. Based on the reviews I chose to get a baguette from here, I chose the emmental cheese and bacon and it was a bit underwhelming. The taste was OK but nothing particularly special as it was overpowered by mayonnaise and the 'trimmings' amounted to just a small amount of lettuce. Not disappointed as such but based on many 5* reviews I was expecting more - perhaps I just made a poor choice. I also though nearly £4 was also a bit expensive for a relatively basic sandwich.
