LISTEN TO MY EXPERIENCE Recently my dad had decided to get his affairs in order in regards to how his possessions and assets would be delegated (A Will). In making this decision he decided to go to a local solicitors, this being Chubb & Co, which was a huge mistake. The man we spoke with had a significantly lesser ethical standard that a practice such as law should hold, that their should be an understanding of emotion when one’s affairs have to be arranged in the latter part’s of a persons life and that you would’ve thought a firm that holds their name so high in reputability would conform to this, however this was not the case. Due to my first hand experience in dealing with this man in question (Paul), it seems he is more than willing to pick up the fee for writing the legal binding document, why wouldn’t he, yet when it comes to listening and understanding a client, his morals seem to go completely out the window. Actually being in the meeting with Paul, no sooner had my father begun his sentence involving personal affairs, Paul stops at no regard’s to one’s feelings and instantly make attempts to get things done as fast as possible. I understand the value of time for someone is his field, but this gives him no reason to revolve his practices around an emotionless standpoint and brush off a man talking about losing huge assets as-well as children in a previous divorce, something which he held no compassion over. Long story short, if you want a man to get something done with no regards to your personal situation and how your mental health is, with no compassion to who you are or your situation, then he’s the perfect person for you, someone who’s there to get a quick cash grab and disregard anything you have to say. However, if you want a man who can listen and be understanding of your personal situation and guide you along the steps in completing legal matters in a way that is comfortable and at a pace you feel right for yourself, then steer clear because he’s only there to pick up his fee and do it in the fastest way possible. It is upsetting that an internal stakeholder’s actions reflect poorly on a business, I’m sure his colleagues handle their clients differently, but Mr Paul Dalton’s actions taint the reputation of this firm, I wish I knew the type of man he was before, I would’ve never let my father near the place.
I couldn't recommend Donna highly enough. She was absolutely brilliant when dealing with our property, always available and nothing was too much trouble.
