Highly recommend Oakley Vets. At the time that pet owners dread, my much loved cat, Missy, had sudden symptoms, then a serious diagnosis and an estimated week left to live. I cannot thank the staff enough for their professionalism, expertise, efficiency, care and empathy, when assessing and treating Missy, and for the support they gave me, as the devastated owner. All the vets took the time to explain and answer questions about the diagnosis and options for treatment. They gave me the facts and gave me time to decide the best option for Missy. Her treatment was able to be managed at home, and enable her to sunbathe in the garden for her week, (she chose to make it 2 weeks), this was back in August. I knew the signs to be aware of, and when it would be time to take her back. In the meantime, gave support and reassurance over the phone, or went out of their way to see Missy asap, on occasions this went past closing time. It was clear when a final decision had to be made but again gave me time, and as much time needed to say goodbye. The additional support that the staff gave me was above expected. Everyone was very kind and caring to both of us. It was so appreciated. The direct contact with the insurers also took a huge amount of stress away from me. I just want to thank you so much for your expertise, time, and care. Missy was so very special and you totally understood.

I've been taking our cat here for 2+ years and literally every member of staff is a delight, always. So much care and compassion from the reception through to the veterinary clinicians. Everyone's always organised, we're always sent reminders and they always go out of their way to meet you on the level, to chat to you and help. We feel very lucky to have this vet's so close by. Major Tom sends his regards x

Sadly our much beloved cat Desmond had to be put to sleep on Friday 6 December 2024. I can't praise Oakley Veterinary Clinic highly enough for their care and compassion towards me and Desmond. Kurt the vet who looked after Desmond in the last weeks of his life, was so caring and considerate. Kurt's genuine love of animals was clear as was his compassion to me as an owner, but ultimately he steered me towards making the best decision for Desmond. I will never forget the kindness shown to me when we had let Desmond go. I would highly recommend Oakley Veterinary Clinic for the care they offer pets and their owners.

We sadly lost our beloved family cat, Maxine, in a road accident. She was taken to the vets by a local person and after scanning her chip, they called us to give us the sad news - everything was handled with amazing care and professionalism, and without charge hair clippings and a paw print taken. Thank you Oakley Team.

Friendly, caring vets. We buy the health plan that includes 6 monthly health checks, annual vaccinations and flea and worm treatment. We feel our dog is well looked after.

If i could give one star I would. May you face judgment sooner rather than later because you need to own up to your words and actions. you people are sick, horrible and heartless. because of your incompetence, lack of love and compassion and professionality, my rabbit is dead. she was only 4 and she was my absolute life. you are walking monsters on this planet and i will be taking further actions to ensure that someone comes down to the practice to check that everything is in place because you seem very VERY dodgy. they made me pay a fee to register my rabbits (never heard of this but you know, i’m new to the area and sure, anything for my babies). took my rabbit who was unwell and spent 30 min being lectured on their sort of subscription for food etc. like HELLO? my rabbit is not feeling well, stop trying to sell me stuff what is wrong with you. asking multiple times “soooo will you subscribe today? will you? no? then… next time??” being promised they have an exotic vet in the practice named Sally that works with them and another Vet, hence, why i registered. One day, out of the blue, this Sally doesn’t exist. It never existed. Then, politely we ask with a dying rabbit, “do you know anyone that can help etc” receptioner: NO. we paid for visits that were not done with a specialist, with vets who almost dropped our bunnies off the table for justifiable lack of experience with them and who couldn’t tell us ANYTHING at all. 54£ for what sorry? do you think we sneeze money? i’d rather give them to a professional. registered my rabbits there I HAD TO TELL THE RECEPTIONIST “emhh sorry aren’t you going to ask me who the previous vets are so you can transfer the details over to you” and then “oh yeah i suppose” I SUPPOSE? I lost my precious baby because of you. You will get the deserved karma and you deserve everything that will come to you. DO NOT do this job if you don’t love animals because is not fair on them. you need to be evil and sick, which i’m sure you are, to do this to living creature who cannot even talk and can’t fend for themselves. I will be back to get my money from the registration fee and then i’ll never see you again but i can promise you that i shall speak so poorly about you to any living breathing creature i encounter for as long as i shall live. i will never forgive you for what happened to me rabbit. she was the most loving creature and didn’t deserve this.

I have several pets registered with Oakley vets, both dogs and cats and have had fantastic experience and care in general. They were compassionate and kind to my elderly cat and I when she was PTS during lockdown, allowing me to be with her when she needed me most and supporting me through the whole event. Recently my 18 month old dog was extremely unwell and required care and support whilst being diagnosed. During this anxious time all of the team were incredible, from the reception and admin staff, to the nurses and vets themselves. I've since been in for a check up for one of my cats and they all asked about my pup and showed real care and concern for his recovery. The vets take their time to discuss treatment plans and are happy to advise on concerns you have and answer you questions. When you do raise concerns they are quick to review and follow up on anything flagged with them to improve patient care. All of the vets are fab, Miss Ellie has been exceptional, researching the most suitable treatments for my pup in her free time due to his allergies. Their practice manager has been accommodating of arrangements and very understanding of their patients and owners needs. Overall I would highly recommend Oakleys, I cant thank them enough for the care they have given my wonderful pets!!!

When we brought Maui home at 8 weeks old, there was no question as to where we would register him! Having spent time doing work experience at the practice as a teenager, I know it to be professional and caring. All the staff are always welcoming, helpful and knowledgable. Maui loves going to Oakley Vets! He recently went in to be neutered and still jumped at the door and greeted all the vets and nurses with delight upon return two days later for his post op check - that’s all I need to see to know that he is well cared for :)
