The Palfrey is one of our faves! Drinks there are fantastic and the vibe is the best. Beth is a great waitress she never let us go without and Amy and Sharon are so lovely! We had a wine tasting evening there and honestly loved every second of it - the snug is so cosy and totally fantastic! Shoutout to waitress Beth and Amy, Sharon you do an amazing job!

We popped into the Palfrey on a work trip, the three of us shared about 10 small plates. A well executed menu, brilliant flavours and a lovely atmosphere. The staff were attentive and polite, if you are in the area you won't regret dinner at the Palfrey. Great value too, we had a drink each and it came to around £30 a head for a fantastic meal

I cannot tell you how much we enjoyed this restaurant! As soon as we walked in we were made so welcome. It is set within a stunning area and the interior was just as lovely. Service was very much above average. I am a coeliac vegetarian so am always a bit nervous about the selection that'll be offered and if it has been prepared safely, definitely not a problem here as most things are gluten free. Husband had one of the greatest steaks in his life so he was happy bunny too. I cannot fault the place. Even the ice cream was a cut above the rest. What a wonderful dining experience we had. We've already spoke about planning another mini break just so we can eat here again.

Service was fantastic, shout-out to Kieran being accommodating with some late arrivals, topping up drinks when needed and overall being friendly and personable with the group. Food I wouldn’t say was AS good but perhaps I’m expecting the same standard as when I last visited which was April 24. The main part of the dish such as steak was fab, but the chips and the greens were just okay, standard. This didn’t cause much detriment to our visit, we would just love to see more creative sides with more intense flavour at our next visit. To finish off, as I’ve already stated, the highlight of the night really was the service, checking in throughout and making us feel comfortable. Thanks!!

We recently had a large family Christmas meal at The Palfrey, and it was an excellent experience. The private room was beautifully arranged and provided a great atmosphere for our gathering. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. The selection of craft beers was a real highlight, offering something for everyone. The food was very well prepared and full of flavour. The salmon was perfectly cooked, and the mussels were fresh and enjoyable. Every dish was clearly made with care, and the presentation was spot on. Overall, it was a fantastic venue for our family celebration. We’d definitely recommend The Palfrey for anyone looking for good food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

We came as a group of 8 for Sunday lunch. Space is a little small but beautifully decorated. We all had starters which were nice, although the spring rolls were a little oily and a small portion. The mushroom starter was delicious. As for the roast, the potatoes were rather hard and there was only a little small ball of stuffing, other than that, it was lovely. As for dessert, the dark chocolate cheesecake was very good, but the base was very crumbly, not very set. I will also say parking is extremely limited, we all had to park in side streets. As a whole, would come back as it was good and a great ambiance!

Dropped in here without a booking and managed to get a table! Food was absolutely stunning. The steak was cooked to perfection. Loved the sides of the steak too. My partner had the burger which was also amazing. The staff was so friendly. Definitely would recommend a visit. Will be back.

Absolutely top-level experience! Firstly, the menu is to die for, kudos to the chef and/or menu developer - I wanted one of everything. Service was attentive and helpful from the start, the interior is beautiful. Couldn't fault the food, the four of us said every element was delicious. Would love to come back and see how the menu changes with the seasons. Favourites to call out, the Blackberry & Ginger Julep mocktail, Chinese pork cubes, Bistro rump with the red onion rings and truffle fries. Heaven!

Beyond impressed! The food was lovely and the staff where so approachable and I felt they really cared about our dining experience. They always mad sure the food was to our liking and if we needed anything else to improve our dining experience. As one of my guests was a celiac they took extra care when relaying the information to the chefs! We greatly appreciate this. I would definitely recommend, I will be coming here again in the near future!
