We used the travel clinic here to get vaccinations for our next holiday. Very easy to book on line. You can also book appointments in store. Good advice and very reasonably priced. Even had a free cuppa in the cafe afterwards. Michies is a Union Street staple and everyone is so friendly. ❤️

A nice place for medical advice, travel vaccines. I had a smooth experience of travel vaccination here and they offered complimentary coffee after the vaccine in their nice and cozy cafe.

I'm glad we have a nice, old fashioned chemist with cafe inside. The gift Department is lovely, it sells cards for every occasion, some children's toys, and gifts for every occasion too. Beautiful selection of Steiff Bears and animals, but they are very expensive. Jewellery and handmade soaps, hand creams and fragrances. Sweets, and treats, jams and biscuits, traditional Scottish fayre. They are also a part of Country Ways, so they have a small selection of clothing, but they can order. (I once wanted to buy a hat, and the lady was happy to help with the order, but I had to go to Country Ways to collect it). Down in the cafe area is a little Exhibition showing old Chemist items, and medicines. It is lovely to see the vintage medicine bottles and information that goes with it all. The only one moan I have, is that the toiletries are very expensive? Sorry, but I have seen the same things in pound shop and Savers for a fraction of the price, but otherwise it is a lovely shop on Union Street. Edited, August, Went in to gift department and I felt like I was being watched and followed around. I was actually buying things, but a staff member always seemed to be there, wherever I was looking, and seemed to be pretending to "tidy".. Felt uncomfortable. I am never going to steal from you!!

Booked travel assessment and got my travel vacs the same day. Lady was very knowledgeable about the types of vaccinations required for my holiday and was friendly and professional. Never been to this pharmacy before but it has a shop and a cafe downstairs. It was a good experience, after getting my vaccination I was offered a complimentary coffee which was nice. I had a cupcake but it wasn’t the best, the icing was very solid like it had been kept in freezer and not defrosted enough and it was quite pricy (£3) for a tiny cake. but other than that it’s a good place and I’d feel comfortable coming here for health advice in future.

Anyone for tennis? And Afternoon Tea? Very tasty and well-preserved. Pic shows moments before the customers arrived today.

So pleased to come across these products on a random stopover at this shop. I am a great fan of these over glasses for a long time and was down to my last pair . So I happily grabbed 3 pairs and know that it would last a couple years more. Hopefully they would not be discontinued.

I am so disappointed by Michie’s, a place I would always recommend as THE pharmacy for help and guidance. I booked an ear appointment 9 days ago for my teenage son, explained everything on the phone having been referred from the GP. Now, today, less than 3hrs to my appointment and over a week of discomfort, I am told the nurse is ‘not comfortable’ doing the appointment so they are cancelling! This isn’t the service I expected from a local pharmacy like Michies. Totally let down. I WON’T be enquiring again.
