Had a traditional breakfast choice of egg i had scrambled .beans .2 sausage 2 hash browns 2 bacon toast and a coffee for £6.50 which i though was quite good and the food was very nice as we staff were friendly and helpful i personally enjoyed it
Had breakfast which was bland , unappealing served in a box with wooden cutlery. With a sadly week coffee to wash it down this came to over £8. On a positive the dining room was clean and the person on the checkout was very friendly. Room for improvement here
It's okay ish. But definitely prefer other spots to have my meal that this place.
I've been in several times over the last couple of months. Good choice of hot food which I've enjoyed. Good cappuccino & very nice carrot cake. Staff are always friendly & helpful ( I always ask them to put my lid on my cup if I'm taking it away as I can't get them on). Always clean & tidy. Can't fault it .
I’ve been here a couple times and I’ve had delicious hot meals both times. It’s definitely on the quiet side (but fortunately for me, that’s my preference). It’s a nice place for having a yummy hearty meal. The selection and flavour is reminiscent of school dinners, but I’ve always been a big fan of that kind of food.
Horrible... Been here for 5months with sick newborn baby. Baby cannot have cow's milk, so mummy cannot have cow's milk as it will get into baby. Food is always either meat or veg. No catering for glutin free, lactose free, vegan or anything not an English Breakfast. Every day I have to ask and only once or twice in five months has the vegetarian option not had milk in it. I have been living off Chips and Beans as it's all I can have. If there was any other option is eat there
The majority of the food in this restaurant is horrible. Especially the breakfast items. Overcooked, hard tastes foul. The only decent thing are the chips, and that’s if they are hot, as they usually aren’t. Having spent months in this hospital I’ve been here multiple times just incase it was a one off, but it’s almost constant. The Coffee at Paddy’s and Scott’s (next to the restaurant) is amazing, cannot fault it
If you have to visit the hospital regularly it's worth getting to know this place. Very good value for money especially if you like a fry up. Any 5 items plus tea or coffee for less than £4. Nothing spectacular but as the staff eat here it can't be all that bad.
I have health problems (ITS A HOSPITAL). Being more or less forced to eat there between two clinics didn't sound too bad until I saw the 'menu'. As the sign said I asked for something gluten free. After the staff scrabbling through discarded packaging they came up with 1 item only. It looked disgusting and tasted worse. Skipping a meal is not an option with my medication. I had just spent a week on an acute ward where the food was excellent. I resent paying for slops. What is realy sad is that this is a hospital and at least in my case a burger would have been a lot healthier.
Food in the hospital main cafeteria is pretty good, breakfast is as healthy as you want to make it or the scrambled eggs on toast are great and so reasonable. The coffee area in this restaurant at the back is fantastic and puts the Costa and m&s to shame. They make their coffee well and I am super fussy. When I look at the T-shirt’s labelling the staff in m&s as baristas it’s far from the truth as they just press a button. The people in feast know how to make flat whites and cortados and are the only true Baristas. They get a five star!!
