Can't speak highly enough of Derwent Valley Vets... We are really so blessed to have a guinea pig specialist (Dr. Ellie) practically on our doorstep, and she is amazing, both with my guinea pigs and with me as an owner! I have full confidence that my precious pets are in the best hands. The Receptionists are also brilliant: friendly, warm and professional, and seems to have a genuine interest in any animal that comes through the door!

We recently changed vets to Derwent Valley and they have been outstanding. We visited initially with our puppy Angus. Lisa the vet was extremely kind and knowledgeable, making Angus first trip to the vets a positive one. We came again with Angus and our cockapoo Murphy today and Charlotte the vet was wonderful - so loving to both dogs and made their experience a happy one. The receptionist was fantastic helping to distract one of our dogs who is often rather vocal with love and treats and making our visit another lovely one! Thank you to the whole team ♥️

Always a good experience at Derwent Valley Vets. I found Ellie when researching for a Guinea Pig specialist, she is so knowledgeable and thorough with guineas. I wouldn’t take my Guinea pigs anywhere else. I’m not local so she is always happy to provide online or telephone consultations too. Thank you Ellie and the practice !

I visited Derwent Valley Vets after I received lots of recommendations from people in the local area. Both my rabbit and my cat have received vaccinations there and I couldn't have been happier with their standard of care. When my cat was neutured I felt communicated with and knew he was in safe hands. The staff are all extremely knowledgeable but also so incredibly friendly

Do not risk your pets health at this vets. I've had cats for 20 years so I can say this is the worst vets I've ever had the mistake of using. The vets are very unknowledgable. Not only that but they are clearly only after profit than actually caring for their patients. If your pet is in pain but insurance won't cover derwent vets will not help at all. They would not even suggest any other help or services as all they care about is money. I found another vets nearby that were not only professional, knowledgeable and helpful but also have better prices for those who can't cough up hundreds of pounds in one go. Don't risk your pets life at a vets just because they're the closest; go for the best for your pet and this place is far from the best. This is a truthful experience please take my advise.

awful practice with nasty staff. I don't how they stay open when they don't seem to know what they're doing. Definitely go elsewhere if you care for your pets

Such a fantastic vet! Highly recommend them! My cat was poorly and hasn't eaten in 2 days after we realised there is a problem all the vets were closed and after hours vets were charging £300 for the consultation. Luckily Derwent valley pets were open till 9pm so we just managed to ring up. They told us that they aren't taking on new clients currently but they noticed how worried we actually were and asked us to come in anyway to make sure he is ok . (Their consultation was a lot cheaper too!!) This tells you that they care about the animals the most and are happy to go beyond for them! I'm so happy we have found this vet ! Staff is so nice and friendly! Thank you!
