Well I and my family have been coming here for years. Most of the staff here know me. However i have been sadly let down. I went in for my current prescription, I am in the process of claiming sickness benefits which there is currently a back log. Me being honest explained this and I was told that i will still have to pay for my prescription until its sorted. I explained i have no funds available right now and due to the backlog it will be backdated anyway. This still was not good enough. I said but i need my meds, without them im in trouble ! Still i was told I really need to pay. After some disagreement in the end they had to go make a call to their superiors. As soon as that was done there was no issue and I got my prescription straight away. I should have kept my mouth shut and just ticked the box on the form. They know me here and should know I would not lie however I was made to look like one in front of other customers. As other's have said things seem to be discussed openly here regarding personal issues in front of customers. Since Linsey left this place has gone down hill fast. I am very disappointed and Trent Pharmacy should be ashamed of themselves, putting money before the wellbeing of customers. I think some retraining here is well needed. So if i had not argued this out then it would have meant that i would have not been able to take my meds to then end up being very ill until my benefit had come through to proof that im not lying ! So im currently looking for possible alternative arrangements for collection of medication.

Booked for flu jab. Very helpful. Had both covid & flu together which the NHS app didn't let me do so saved two journeys, and was able to cancel no longer required date for covid.

Over a few years I have found all the staff to be both helpful and courteous. Also they have been, and continue to be, respectful and considerate. People sometimes forget that they are placed in an invidious position, when it comes to prescription fulfillment, by the surgeries (not purposely) but as they are 'customer facing' it is they who beat the brunt of people's frustration. Also, I feel confident using them, and that's a big plus.

To be quite honest I would give none if I could. To say I feel embarrassed and humiliated would be an understatement. Went in to get my prescription around half an hour after going to the doctors as he said it would go there straight away and I need the medication straight away or I wouldnt of been prescribed it. Only for Karen on the front desk to ask a male in the back for the medication. After he was getting it together he made a comment of people cant even wait a few hours now a days (referring to the fact that Karen had stated to him that my prescription came through at half 4 and it was 5) only to be met with a response from Karen on how we cant even wait a few minutes never mind hours. If you dont want people collecting their prescribed medication not long after an appointment then maybe you should put something in place for the doctors to say how long to wait before getting it. There was no need for smart comments from TWO members of staff. Maybe you should look into giving some more customer service training.

Certain employees in this Pharmacy are very rude and seem to think discussing individuals health and medication in the back under guise of whisper is perfectly acceptable. Unprofessional and not acceptable - dispense medication that the professional prescribed and get on with your job. Thankyou :) (1 Star) In response to reply: I understand the roles of a pharmacist Thankyou Susan. The attitude of this response is why I’ve decided to take my custom elsewhere. Where an apology would have been more than suffice.

Can’t praise this pharmacy enough. Always polite, helpful and supportive. Friendly approachable staff. I felt I had to do this review after witnessing the most obnoxious customer in there today. I was waiting on my prescription. A chap came in asking for day nurse, a member of staff asked if he was on any other medication to which he replied, nothing that’d stop me taking this. She asked if he may be on blood pressure meds (not sure if she knew him or could tell by his face colour) as if he were they could significantly impact on his health but that she’d sell them to him but would need to make a note on his records. He was so rude and verbally abusive towards her, using the f word twice. She handled the situation really professionally despite being verbally abused. So I suppose I’m saying, they always look out for you not matter what and I really appreciate their care and attention and respect that they know what they’re talking about more than I do.
