    My husband rushed to the pharmacy this afternoon to pick up his prescription, the sign said closed 4.30 till 5, The time when he arrived was 4.24, the pharmacist was sitting out the back...my husband waited until 4.25 and then called out to the pharmacist who had seen him there and pointed out that it was only 4.25 and the pharmacist completely ignored him. This was Thursday the 12th of June 2025, so which ever pharmacist this was needs a lesson in customer service, its a shame that one rude member of staff can throw a bad light on the whole pharmacy

    It was concerning that the person I called had difficulty calculating that it would take 10 X 2mg tablets to make up 20mg. Not confidence inspiring. They didn't have the appropriate quantity to satisfy my prescription.

Following my doctor's instruction, a prescription was sent to this pharmacy with the expectation that the medication would be ready for collection within 72 hours. Despite this clear timeline, my husband and I encountered a series of unnecessary delays and poor customer service that extended our wait to over a week. For three consecutive days after the prescribed waiting period, my husband visited the pharmacy, only to be met with a barrage of excuses for why the medication was not yet available. When I took it upon myself to visit after 7 days, the lack of professionalism escalated. I was met with avoidance and evasion from the staff, who seemed reluctant to engage or provide any meaningful update on the status of my order. After a 10-minute wait without assistance, I inquired about my prescription, only to be asked for my telephone number by a pharmacist who then rudely informed me that they had lost my prescription sheet. When I requested a printout to take to another pharmacy, I was confronted by another employee, whose attempt at intimidation was both uncalled for and unprofessional. The claim that my prescription was irretrievably lost was particularly baffling, given that my GP confirmed it was sent online and could easily be reprinted. This apparent unfamiliarity with basic technology by the pharmacy staff is alarming and suggests a significant gap in their operational competency. It took the intervention of my GP for the pharmacy to finally produce what was sarcastically referred to as a "spanal sheet," highlighting a profound need for basic training in computer use and customer service for the Asda Donington Pharmacy staff. Overall, this experience has not only been a testament to inefficiency but also to a disheartening lack of empathy and professionalism. I hope that sharing this review prompts the necessary changes to ensure that no other customer has to endure such an ordeal.

    I called this evening to make a prescription enquiry (calling over and over, naturally). The phone was answered eventually at 16.56pm by a member of staff with less enthusiasm than a dry Sunday dinner who told me they are closed until 5pm then ended the call before I could finish speaking. I have since tried calling with zero response. if I may offer some helpful tips… Please employ people with customer service skills. Adjust your opening times online. When closed have the phone line diverted to a message to let people know this. People cannot be expected to know when your break is so let’s save this miserable staff member from having to pick up a phone during that break again.

    Stood here for 12 minutes, colleague was dealing with a prescription but not once did they apologise for the long wait, didn't say I'll be with you in a moment. I was stood and the checkout as they chatted to a person who was stood off to the side, they then walked past me twice to consult a pharmacist and not once acknowledged my presence. Only until it was my turn and with a line of people behind me did they ask what I wanted, no sorry or anything. I understand people need to be dealt with, but on arrival no one was in the line, 1 person stood off to the side and it appear casual advice, it was only later I noticed it was more than that. Even a simple, I'll be with you in a moment would have been welcomed.
