Quinn and Oreo had a wonderful time here! They stayed for over two weeks whilst we were on holiday, and Stacy messaged us photos of them both! This was our first experience with putting them in a cattery, and was weary as they are older cats. But Stacy put our minds at ease by inviting us to check the premises out before us leaving. We were so lucky to have found Stacy and Chestnut Cattery when we moved to the area two years ago. It was always difficult when you have to leave your very precious fur-babies in someone else’s care and part of me always dreaded going on holiday for that reason. However, the minute I met Stacy I knew she was going to be someone that I could definitely trust to take the best possible care of our two beautiful cats Max and Lola-Mae. You can just tell that Stacy genuinely loves all the cats in her care and I particularly like the way that she spends time giving them cuddles and a little bit of attention every day. The cat enclosures are much bigger than you tend to see in most catteries, with a wonderful cozy inside cabin plus a generous sized run where they can look outside and see the other cats. Whenever we come to collect Max and Lola, they always seem very happy and relaxed, which is the most important thing to me. We are currently in the process of planning a three week fly drive holiday to the USA and so will be leaving our cats with Stacy for that whole time. If it wasn’t for Stacy and Chestnut Cattery, I honestly do not think I would have been able to go for such a long trip, and cannot thank her enough.

Stacey is a wonderful kind cattery owner who makes sure you're fur baby is very well cared for with lovely updates and photos sent to reassure which is just what we wanted. Although our cat Tigerlily didn't have outside space or much of a view,she could sit happily and look out of a window as the greenery and sunshine,she had alot of space to explore inside,more than most places, views of other cats to keep her interested and a little ramp and different levels with windows and a radio on the background and she was very comfortable as soon as she arrived and was calm and happy when we picked her up. So so pleased we found Chestnut Cattery! Claire and her husband are absolutely fantastic and work tirelessly to offer an exceptional service for their feline visitors! we found Chestnut by chance when our usual cattery was fully booked - usually there wouldn't have been availability but we called just as they were building a new block in time for Christmas. We went to look around and were blown away at just how much care and attention was given to the cattery. The pens are lovely and airy yet warm and cosy too. Claire is a true 'cat lady' and texts regularly to keep our minds at rest while we are away. More than what we'd hoped for and have already booked all our 2019 getaways with Chestnut. If you want your cats to be well looked after in clean, caring surroundings, this is definitely the right place.

I am really very fussy about where I would leave my precious cat and did lose some faith in cattery's to the point where I wouldn't board him for many years. Since Claire has taken ownership of Chestnut cattery I now go away with peace of mind and no fear of leaving him.
Claire has made amazing changes to this cattery and she is so caring and loving to the cats that board with her. The fact that she lives on site is another massive tick too.
I can't recommend this cattery highly enough and would not even consider leaving my boy anywhere else. I'm so amazed how happy and relaxed he is when I collect him. It's a stark contrast to when I've collected him in the past in a distressed state.
