   This review is specifically about the river section. I remember visiting this river often throughout my childhood and have to say although it’s still lovely spot it’s a shame about how overgrown the reeds in the river have become and also the side bank with the concrete ledge that is under the foliage has become completely covered. Also the very pretty memorial garden for the southern water workers has become a mess. It would be nice for the area to be smartened up again how I remember it was in my childhood.

   Nice little park. Great slide, higher than normsl- could benefit from a little refurb with easier access (adding steps) to the slide for younger children

   Well kept safe park. With a lovely walk to the water pumping station along the river. Part of the footpath along the river is closed at the moment but plenty of other routes leading down to the bridge. Also a quiet memorial garden.

   Great area for local sports, including the local football team, and a play area for local children. Easy access to local woods and footpath down to the river Itchen.

   Large green space with a playground however the real hidden gem here is the crystal clear river a bit of a walk from the carpark down the gravel track. Water is about knee deep and more than clean enough to paddle in or for kids to take a dip. There's also stepping stones and little minnows to catch if you take a net and bucket - it's very pretty!!
