On a day trip to Portsmouth i was struggling to find a place for lunch and then ended up in this fancy place for a quick bite and was very impressed. The ambience was quite relaxing with soothing music and the service was lovely. The stir fried udon was made to perfection and the iced lemon tea was refreshing. Overall the food is authentic and the restaurant will give you proper Japanese vibes.

Even if the food is 10/10 (which definitely isn’t especially the sushi), I wouldn’t come here ever again because of how badly that asian lady (I think she’s the manager) treats her staff and humiliates them. Honestly I hope you’re reading this review and start being a nice person. However, her staff is very kind and friendly. Food is SO OVERPRICED. we paid 50 pounds for two fizzy drinks, takoyaki and 6 pieces of sushi

Amazing food and atmosphere, I felt so comfy I almost fell asleep. The staff were amazingly helpful and accommodating, even when I ordered a drink I wasn't sure on, they fixed it for me. Definitely returning.

This establishment offers an outstanding dining experience, characterized by both exceptional cuisine and exemplary customer service. The sushi presented was of the highest quality, and the red bean pancakes were equally delightful.

Second time here. Mediocre at best and overtly pretentious I would say. The food here is not worth the price and wait time. The service and presentation are admirable but when we bring it down to basics, I believe it was very mediocre food. I applaud them for trying.

Today the company arranged for us to go to yuchinhon Japanese restaurant for Christmas lunch. The boss said he made a reservation two weeks in advance, and specifically asked for "omakase" two weeks in advance. This really gave us a big surprise. We don't know what to eat in advance. At the beginning, they will ask us what allergies we cannot eat. After 15mins later the food is served. Really delicious, the chef is very attentive. . This is the best Japanese I have met in Portsmouth.

Food was amazing! So fresh and tasty. The open kitchen is a great touch and is pure entertainment. Definitely make sure you try the cocktails - Milk Nigorizaki was our Choice! Super yummy. Definitely be back! Staff - really friendly and helpful.

Tried this place for the first time and it was a pleasant experience, the staff were very accommodating to our needs and we all had enough food. For the price you pay, the taste of the meat is pretty standard and we love their rich broth. We went on the weekend and were allocated a 1.5 hour slot which is understandable as they have a lot of guests waiting for a table so I recommend making a reservation before going. Will definitely come again reservation. Will definitely come again

This is the most quality Japanese restaurant I have ever eaten in Portsmouth. The decoration of the restaurant is very comfortable, very Japanese style. And the food is also very high quality. I will definitely come again!
