Two (2) tills open, and dozens taking trolleys full of shopping through self service, 1 lady rushing about assisting where she could, bare in mind it's November... good luck running this farce at Christmas time, Asda get your act together!

No checkouts open at 7 am so self service only. I find this very frustrating as I work 12 hour nights and usually call on the way home. There's always some issue with the machine and on goes the red indicator meaning you have to wait for a staff member then get scowled at with looks that could kill for dragging them away from gabbing with their colleagues. I rarely have the energy to self scan after a shift and even more rarely have the patience for the behaviour of these scowling middle aged women. If it wasn't for being the nearest supermarket to home I'd go to Sainsbury's where customers service skills aren't conspicuous by their absence.

I have visited the cafe on three occasions now with my husband when shopping and I have now given up trying to get two meals. We usually go early afternoon (no later than around 2pm. Not once have we been able to get the food we wanted, nothing out of the ordinary. Yesterday I wanted a cheese and ham toastie but they had sold out, fair enough as they are pre-packed and not made to order so I opted for a cheese and tomato. Husband ordered an ALL DAY breakfast to be told he couldn't have one as they have stopped cooking (at 2pm). We've previously ordered a lasagne to be told the same. On another occasion when ordering an all day breakfast and asking for scrambled egg instead of fried egg I was told I can't have that, it's fried or nothing. I know this is probably a third party cafe but I won't be using this store again.

Some staff excellent, others frankly can't give a dam. Bad pricing on shelves, stock empty at busy times.Pharmacy not enough staff at busy times with waits for up to 40 minutes to get served. Please, thankyou and customer skills lowest I've ever experienced.Security staff asleep or on phones.

So I ordered the fast track collection today for my shopping and was selected the 5:30/18:00 slot. I arrived slightly earlier to a massive que of agitated personnel that had been waiting well past there collection time. I parked away from the collection point as it was too busy and spoke to the Asda staff member to let him know I had arrived. At Half 5, I moved closer to the collection area as it was my allocated time, I was parked up and reassured that he is trying to get my order together but he’s extremely busy due to the amount of cars and the fact that lots of ordered hadnt even been picked. 6 o’clock came and I was still say waiting and the lady in front of me had been there an hour and a half waiting and was being told the same that her order wasn’t showing as picked on the system, along with another 2 cars that had now arrived behind me. Rhys (staff member) at this point was really apologetic but was clearly inundated with the greed of yourselfs for booking far too many cars in. 6:20 came and my order aswell as many others wasn’t picked and now I had been in the car for over an hour. I asked if he could tell me when it was ready but he was struggling to keep up and when I asked if he had help he said that the store manager had gone home and they didn’t have any other staff to help. I tried to go in store to try cancel my order but at the time there wasn’t any customer service personnel available, useless! I then spoke to Rhys again and he said that I could wait but couldn’t promise my order and the other cars orders would be ready any time soon and that if we left he would cancel our orders at the end of the evening! I then came home to speak to your call centre and I’ve never ever in my life spoke to 2 people so unhelpful and clearly didn’t care about the fact I had now no money as you had it for my order and no food all they could say is that they can’t help I have to ring back in morning and speak to the store manager as he had finished as explained above. I’d just like to say I’ve used Asda for along time all my family have and I’ll make sure I never go close to the place again. Rhys was amazing on keeping us all calm but he shouldn’t be put through that stress all because your incapable of running a service without severe greed. Shocking service from your store management & call centre 2 hours round trip to still have no food.

If I could leave no stars I would! Went in the cafe today ordered a toasty and drink deal got given my cup Unfortunately the Diet Coke was not working so I went for a black coffee instead The woman came out and snatched it out my hand and shouted “you cant have that love” This was in front of the whole queue I explained that I can’t have sugar and Diet Coke was out she just smirked at me Such a bad attitude to have and totally unhelpful So I was left with no drink and a sour taste Your staff need some serious customer service training

12/2/23 We came here for my wife to collect her new prescription spectacles. We decided to get some food from The Kitchen but sadly there was little choice. We ended up with pizza, chips and soup complete with cold diet drinks. We managed to park in a disabled space near the front doors and of course I displayed my blue badge. It wasn't too busy, most customers were collecting odd items instead of a weekly shop. The weather was pleasant for a February day, no rain and a gentle breeze.

Visited on 4/2/23 absolutely filthy! Bins at self service full and open lids , it really did smell very dirty all at the front end. Was waiting for a George parcel. Went into store to pick up a few items , noticeably very dirty all over the store. Floors looked like they had nt been deep cleaned in months.

Terrible, one till open yet 2 people on the self scan doing next to sweet fa. The staff can see there's a big queue but don't seem bothered about customers.

Called in this morning as my car was having maintenance locally. First time in the store and I must say that for 9:00am in the morning on a Saturday, things seemed a little bit shabby. Had a drink in the Kitchen whilst my children ate. Tables were dirty, there were crumbs on seats, so much so, my 10 and 13 year old had looks on their faces as if to say, ‘why have you brought us here!’ On our way out we paid a visit to the facilities… and I’ll stop there, no one needs to read about them! I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it just didn’t seem looked after like you would expect an Asda to be, unlike my local York one.
