OMG I had the most amazing lasagne here! The portion size was enormous, with a generous serving of salad and chips - it was delicious! The service was so friendly too, it was a great visit.

The Ship Inn at Itchenor is a great place to have a beer or lunch after walking around the coastal path around Itchenor or going on a boat ride. They have quite a big inside space with lots of tables, and two outside areas a terrace at the front and a beer garden in the back. Would recommend ordering the Mussles and the squid! There is a car park here too.

On the face of it, a nice pub. We only visited for drinks on a sunny Sunday but the front courtyard was messy. Dried up plant pots and the ground looked like it hadn't been swept for years. Despite having plenty of staff, nobody clearing in the vacated tables. We stayed for about an hour and only once did someone come out to collect glasses. Even then, they left the tray on another table next to us. If you're going to charge high prices, then make sure the service matches.

Stopped for lunch after reading good reviews about the roast. Unfortunately, not just the roast but even the starters were disappointing - perhaps because we arrived just before the kitchen closed after lunch service. Being right by the water, I ordered prawns to start. The presentation looked fine, but the prawns were mushy , bitter and unpleasant to eat. I asked the waitress if they were frozen - she said, βNo, theyβre fresh!β Then she turned to the chef and asked, βJohn, are our prawns frozen?β He replied proudly, βOf course they are!β and walked off - no time to even mention how bad the roast was. I ordered the roast medium rare, but it arrived overcooked. The vegetables were soft and mushy, the potatoes watery and completely unseasoned. Yorkshire pudding looked the part but was very dry. The cauliflower cheese was overcooked and the sauce tasted oddly sour, like cheese mixed with vinegar - crumbly and unpleasant. For me, itβs about quality, not how much is piled on the plate. That said, the bar staff were genuinely lovely - friendly and welcoming.

Brilliant pub at the end of the lane, stopping just short of the water. Good selection of beer and a good menu - judging by the impressive seating inside. We didn't have time to try it out for ourselves unfortunately. Plenty of seating outside as well. Very popular. Friendly staff.

Lunch time snack! Sausages very run of the mill certainly nothing special. Steak ale pie x 2 not homemade, shop bought. Fish stew this did look good and apparently was very nice. Drinks brought to the table. So everything on the bill including drinks and coffee had a 10% service charge added. Fed up with this happening now in pubs. This is a real money spinner adding 10% to everything when drinks are already expensive. So ended up with a lunch bill of Β£110 for a very run of the mill lunch. Don't think we will be returning here in a hurry. The people serving us were very pleasant though.

Nice spot to wait out the rain during our walk. Lots of locals. Dog friendly. Nice enough bar staff and clean toilets.

We had a large family event, 8 adults and 9 children spanning the whole age range. The staff were fabulous and set aside 3 large tables for us. Service was efficient by serving the 3 tables at the same time, and there was something to eat to satisfy all tastes. Food was excellent and arrived promptly. Really nice atmosphere, definitely will visit again.

Lovely restaurant / pub. Great food and great service, wheelchair friendly and a nice fire place next to our table. We loved it there. Well recommended!

We really enjoyed our meal here, two children's meals great portion size for the money, I had the slow cooked pork, it was delicious and very filling, topped off with a lemon sorbet. My partner had the lamb dish which looked amazing. And to top it off the free WiFi was really good which pleased the kids.
