   We had asked for a quiet table which we were given but on arrival the dining area was cold and not very welcoming. The waitresses were good but unfortunately it was very poor quality food for the very high prices charged. We paid a service charge for the waitresses not the food. I don’t mind paying top prices if the quality is good but £23 for a roast Christmas dinner which had to be returned as it was not hot enough was not a great start. My roast potatoes and parsnips were just heated up, soggy and not freshly made. The food was not nicely presented and just piled on. The portion sizes were large but the quality poor. It’s basically ordinary pub grub and not high quality dining which the prices would suggest. I was very disappointed overall and won’t be returning which is a shame. Thyme and Chillies offer much better food and value for money just down the road.

   We visited on my husband’s birthday so we were seated with the birthday board. It was very quiet when we arrived but the longer we were there it was clear the locals enjoyed visiting the Lamb Inn. The staff were lovely. The food was excellent!

   Just come back from a weekend in West Witterings and are super pleased we found this pub. We went for dinner and it was so good popped back for lunch on Sunday too! You will need to book as it's clearly very popular. The menu has lots of variety and everything is cooked wonderfully. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming and also very dog friendly, which was awesome for us as we were away with our dogs. We'll definitely be back.

   I recently visited The Lamb and, unfortunately, left feeling quite disappointed. We ordered a portion of fish and chips, kids meal and two burger dishes. While the food was okay, I was shocked to see each dish priced at £23 on an average. For that price, I was expecting either outstanding quality or generous portions—ideally both. Unfortunately, the portion sizes were average, and the quality didn’t justify the cost. It just didn’t feel like good value for money. To add to the letdown, I was initially hoping to order a pizza, but I was told it would be at least a 60-minute wait. That was quite disappointing, especially as it seemed like a basic option on the menu. Unfortunately, they don’t offer many “lamb”dishes, and there’s no stack of ribs on the menu either. I’m always happy to support local pubs, but in this case, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. I hope they review their pricing and service times moving forward. Just leaving an honest review for others who might be planning a visit.

   Firstly, dog friendly. Really welcoming staff, we rocked up at pretty much bang on 11.30 after a dog walk and they were more than happy for us to take a seat and quicklycame to serve us. Was all table service on this visit. Lots of seating inside and out, and water for us and the pup ready and waiting. A great menu. Not over the top on options, which is nice. Had the fish sharing platter and a couple of starters, would 100% recommend. Really, really good size portions.

   Visited on Saturday evening without booking in advance. Managed to get the table for 3, but we were told we got an hour to finnish eating because table is booked after. Good variety of alcoholic drinks and good coffee, but no real alternatives for non-alcoholic or caffeine free drinks. Asked for a bottle of still water, but they could only offer tap water. Winter vegetable salad is completely different each time you order, so this time decided to order Fish plate for sharing, which was very average if you consider the price. Loads of dogs and kids in the restaurant, so not ideal you want to eat in peace or have a conversation. I am not a fan of staff wearing trainers, jeans and random crews. After a good first impression the overall score could not be higher that 3 out of 5 - average.
